This is definitely on our stay again list! Such a great campground very close to town. Super clean, very friendly and accommodating! This is definitely one of the best we’ve stayed at.

The campground has lots of nice trees and shade. The laundry room looks nice and clean. The bathrooms are great — they look newly remodeled and were pretty clean. The campground was only a mile to downtown McCall which was great for exploring the lake, shopping and restaurants. Couple downsides...we weren’t too impressed with the hookups on site 13 — electric uses a super long cord to plug into the neighbors post and the water hookup is a hose laying in the grass that looks like it’s been spliced to three different sites. It looked like most of the sites had standard hookups but ours didn’t for some reason. We also thought $49 was a bit pricey for partial hookups but happily paid it to score a unplanned reservation on a Friday night in the summer.
Close to town but grassy and treed

This place was a surprise as it is so close to McCall, just a mile or so, we thought it might be solid concrete. But it has many mature willow trees and lots of grass. But it has many mature willow trees and lots of grass. Roads are gravel, pads are concrete. It has some fire pits, barbecues, water and electric and a dump station. It seems a bit expensive, but this town is sort of Aspen-like so prices are higher. We drove the RV to Ponderosa State Park each day and biked and swam in the beautiful lake. Ponderosa is a gorgeous park, with fantastic camping, but it’s full most of the time. Reserve months in advance and you’ll get a spot. We got a spot last minute at McCall Campground and it was quiet (except on weekends) and pleasant, and has a 1 pm check out. Little Payette Lake is also a great place to swim, and there is free dispersed camping along that lake. McCall is a sweet town with 2 great grocery stores and a few restaurants. Recommend the Pancake House for good food, enormous proportions and an architectural marvel.
