Lots of channels available on the cable. It was packed while we were there and our spot was super tight as we booked last minute. Would avoid B8 next time. But there are lots of great spots and we have already reserved for a full week next year. Many people were there for a couple of months and know each other. We were invited over to a group of musicians all playing music around a fire. Very friendly from both the customers and the hosts. The best thing though about this campground is the location. Jekyll Island is beautiful. We walked down to Clam Creek and the fishing pier (right across the street from the campground entrance) every day and rode our bikes through the trail system which goes around the whole island. Great restaurants and beaches. Can’t wait to go back.

Rustic campgrounds, lots of trees and a little packed in, but people were quiet and friendly. Lots of families and children since we were here during Christmas break. The bike trails were great, weather was great. The only downside was lots of no seeums (biting gnats) in the morning and evening. We had 30 amp only site, cable TV hookup, strong cell and wifi. This is our favorite type of campground.

The campground is beautiful, the sites are nice, it’s quiet (normal campground sounds, but no road noise, etc), it’s in a great location, amenities are good, staff are friendly and super helpful, and Jekyll Island itself is just lovely. If you enjoy riding bikes, Jekyll has miles of bike paths and the campground entrance is essentially right across the street from the path.Definitely do your grocery shopping before getting to the island as the one “grocery store” on the island doesn’t really have enough to warrant that title. Bring firewood if you enjoy fires. Internet connection at the campground was really slow; fortunately, we had plenty of cell service and were able to use our phones as hotspots for streaming.

What a wonderful change from last year. There are bike trails all over and through the island. The pond in the middle of the island has a nice overlook that lets you see the alligators from a safe distance. The staff, as always were friendly and helpful, and they all packages and don't charge a fee.The store has some ice cream and other campground store stuff, and firewood is $11 a bundle. Ouch... so if you're big into fires, I believe there are some places in the area that can do better for you.Electric bikes are allowed on the island, but you can't rent an electric bikes on the island... only beach bikes. The beaches are gorgeous and the campground is really fine. I do not care for the fact that you have to move every 30 days, but it's one of those quirky things you get used to.AT&T is a bit weak, but Verizon is 22+mb/s and I can stream videos anytime day or night. However, I do have a really decent MiFi amplified system with external antennas. However, the simple hotspot that I had first time we were hear did pretty well and I had very few issues streaming.Take beach road when you come here, it's just a better drive and better turn angle coming into the park with a big rig. I know someone is going to say it was so tight, but honestly, there are very very few spots I'd be unhappy with in this campground. The electric has always been stable, the water pressure is decent, and the sewer works well. When it rains, the puddles go away quickly (sand instead of loam) and the bugs are seldom a problem (bug spray around dark is a good idea). We've decided to make this our December spot because the light show is great, the are has lots of services, and the noise is minimal (unless a barge is passing by... LOL).

Intrigued, I read some reviews, checked out the website.#1 - To the guy previously who reviewed and anxiously stated that it's not $22 a night like a previous reviewer stated...it is...if, as another reviewer stated, you stayed for a month. $650 monthly divided by 30 days = $22 a day. Great deal.#2 - Looking thru the campgrounds info...I saw $4 a day, per dog. My 3 dogs would cost me an additional $12 a day, so $48 becomes $60. No thanks.

The park is quite beautiful, there are lots of big RV sites, and it's away from just about every bloody thing that might bother you. Even though it's a large and very busy park, the quiet and peaceful surroundings can make the place seem a bit unreal.During the Christmas season, the light displays draw lots of cars to the island for a few hours after sunset, but everyone is pretty much gone by 10pm. There's an area with some shops near the entrance to the island and the grocery store is better stocked than one would expect. The gas station was in line with normal prices and the attached DQ was a welcome treat. The bike path around the island is amazing and well kept. The mini golf/pizza place serves a wicked slice. It may not be NY good, but it's definitely worth the visit. However, whoever turned down the bloody thermostat needs a good boot in the rear end. December 2020 ended that stupidly awful year with highs closer to the low 50s than anything and had perhaps 6 days where it was warm. The weather was not awful, even sunny most of the time, but the temps were unseasonably cold.Cell reception and bandwidth was more than adequate for both Verizon and AT&T. So much so that I did not bother with speed tests, which was silly. We plan on being there for two months in 2021 and it has become our one regular not-Thousand-Trails park. For $650 a month, including electric, is a steal if you want to get away from everything.Access - It's a bit off the beaten path but nothing crazy and the roads are goodLocation - Away from pretty much everythingCleanliness - greatSite Quality - for a state park, it's top shelfNoise - what noise? The worst was the occasional ship blowing it's horn at night

With a large class A towing a car, we were concerned about getting in and out. However, if you pick your site carefully (the map is pretty accurate), you can make it happen. Stay away from the sites toward the back. Our section was apparently one added more recently and thus, has pretty reasonable access. We can understand the comments in other reviews about the bugs. We visiting in Dec and experienced some bugs but nothing a good fire didn't take care of. The best part of our visit were the bike paths which allowed access to nearly any part of the island. Even better was the ability to take our bike onto the beach, some part of which had many old driftwood trees on them. The staff at the campground were very friendly and helped us get a site so we could stay another day. Don't expect much from the camp store. We needed to go to the expensive store in the town center to get a few things.

It’s very quiet at night. You stay here because you want to be on Jekyll Island.Yes, it’s a state park so there is an entrance fee - so be prepared to pay for that. Also be sure to follow the directions that the RV park provides - use Beachview Rd. and not Riverview Rd, (which is how your GPS will send you). This is especially true for tall RVs because the trees hang lower on Riverview. The campground is walking distance to Driftwood Beach (go there at low tide) and very close (biking/walking depending on how in shape you are) to the historical district where they do a nice tour of the grounds and give you information of the uber wealthy who made their winter homes here in the early to mid-20th century.

Perfect launching point to explore Jekyll Island with it's endless paved bicycle paths and gorgeous beaches, especially the iconic Driftwood Beach just down the road. Great community of winter guests with weekly activities anyone can join including potlucks and jam nights in their newly built indoor community hall. Campground downsides include lots of leaf litter harbouring ticks and neighbouring campfire smoke hangs heavy in the air especially on weekend evenings. Acorns fall regularly from above, banging loudly on RV rooftops. Campground has a bird sanctuary with regularly filled bird feeders that constantly attract cardinals, black-capped chickadees, tufted titmouse, mourning doves and dozens of squirrels. Comfort stations are well-maintained and laundry is on site. Excellent savings on the nightly rate with a month-long stay: we stayed in Nov-Dec 2016 and found it quiet but heard that they sometimes have trouble with rowdy campers in the summertime. Island grocery store is more of a general store/tourist shop - stock up on groceries on the mainland before you take the causeway to Jekyll Island - costs $6 each time per vehicle or you can buy an annual pass.

I dont think there are any other places to stay on Jekyll Island, an although this isn't ideal as far as privacy goes, it's in a beautiful place. We had full hook ups, good internet, the park is really quiet and there's a great sense of community (holiday decorations and mailboxes at individual spots).
