Nice people nice pool. Sites are packed in. You have 4 feet between your neighbor. Our RV 5th wheel is only 34 feet, and there wasn't enough room to park our truck. We were never told that big jets would be flying over our heads, as the international airport is right next to the park. Gated community, but the 6 foot wooden fence is constantly broken by outside thieves. We had 2 bicycles stolen off the back of our RV as we slept. The full time neighbors told us that there have been a lot of thefts in the past 3 years. Koa campgrounds are so much nicer, and less money.

The first thing you should know: the RV park is on the flight path for the Sarasota Airport. You will hear planes. People at the office might tell you that the airport mostly has small planes, but this is BS. Planes are planes, and planes are loud. That being said, you kind of get used to them, and the rest of the park is SO QUIET, that the planes don't really matter. Also, there is a train station nearby. You will hear the trains about twice/day. Pray that you do not get stuck on the road when the trains are changing tracks. You will be stuck there for around 45 minutes. These were the only real down sides. This was an amazing resort-style RV park. If you enjoy group activities, there are several offered each day. We treated ourself to staying here during half of January and all of February. The park is a mix of permanent and more temporary residents. Pets are allowed, and there are a ton of roads to walk them on. The pool is heated and a delight to swim in. There is a large library. Everyone seemed really friendly, but didn't get in your face if you wanted to be left alone. The location is nice--about a 5 minute drive from nearby stores, 20 minutes from the beach and downtown Sarasota. Another important note: THE PARK IS NOT AGE RESTRICTED. I don't know why it is labeled as such. We're in our 30's. However, if this incorrect label keeps the riffraff out. ;-) j/k--but really, consider checking the park out, it's a unique layout, and was a really nice break from our standard fare of campgrounds and state parks.
