We were greeted by very friendly staff who escorted us down newly asphalted roads to do a 45' concrete pad on a site with an overall length of 68' . In fact I have never seen this many staff member in a resort. There's a lot going on as the pool was being completely redone, the playground was just reinforced, and they are putting in 90' sites with 100 amps. The satellite view in maps doesn't yet reflect all the changes happening here.The park is on the banks of beautiful cypress draped Merits Mill Pond which is water collected from Jackson blue Spring as it runs south. The spring water is crystal clear with a constant 68 degrees. Unfortunately there is a lot of vegetation near the shore which makes it unappealing for swimming but if you get a kayak or Canoe and go out in the middle it is perfect for snorkeling.
