Our kids had a great time as this place was packed with families and plenty of kids to hang with. The pool was heated and was on the ocean. The beach swimming area was rocky, so we didn't use that. We ordered appetizers from the on site restaurant during happy hour and they were just ok. The place was remarkably quiet, despite 400 families being there. Things really did quiet down by 9pm and we never had an issue with noise. We paid a high price to stay over Christmas. Yes we would return but maybe not at Christmas.

We kayaked every day that wasn’t too windy and saw nurse sharks, dolphins, and even a spotted eagle ray! The campground has a laundromat and the marina store fills propane tanks. Another great perk- they pick up your trash at your site any time of day up until around 4pm. The closest grocery shopping was Publix about 15 minutes away in Islamorada. With a booster, cell service worked for remote work/video conferencing with AT&T and Verizon, but AT&T was stronger (so we stuck with that for the most part during our stay). Verizon seemed to struggle during parts of the day.

As expected, sites are pretty tight but enough room to still enjoy. Restaurant/bar has good food and drinks, and happy hour (3-6 daily) are pretty good. Also nice to have the marina in the resort, with ability to fish from multiple areas or easily launch a kayak or SUP. IMO overall definitely worth the trails collection add-on from Thousand Trails ($315 this year) even if you don't use it anyway else, along with the $20 per night, as long as you can stay a week or more (1 week comes to about $65/night, 2 weeks comes to $42.50/night, whereas no membership is going to be over $150/night at least). Islamorada and Marathon are both about 20 minute drive and have plenty of shopping and activities. There's not too much immediately close to the resort. ATT on Peplink was very fast - about 50 mbps down and 20 up.

Then Jack took us to our site and insisted upon backing us in. Great service! Also spoke to Jordan in the office and she was wonderful. Then George gave us some tips on local places of interest. There is no onsite dumpster so guests are instructed to place their garbage bags outside and a staff member kindly picks them up. Recycling bins are available. We stayed in site 339 for 5 nights and it was fabulous! We loved facing the water. This gorgeous resort includes a private beach area with lots of activities. There is also a large pool with 2 small hotubs and even a small store. The pool was heated but sadly it is always full of splashing kids. Resort staff also provide 3 large hammocks for guests to enjoy. Pretty cool! We tried the onsite restaurant one night and it was disappointing to say the least. We found a table and proceeded to be ignored for the next 20 minutes. I walked up to the bar and decided to order some happy hour items there instead. The female bartender was highly apologetic. She said that only 2 servers were on duty as the entire staff was undergoing daily COVID testing. Perhaps multiple folks had recently tested positive? Things seemed to be back to normal a few nights later when we heard a live band playing along with lots of drunken warbling from bar patrons. Now that's the island spirit! Tiki hut located at the NW corner of the resort is a great place to watch the sunset. Free wifi at the community center wasn't so great. Didn't try the optional paid wifi at our site. Also did not try the onsite laundry or bathrooms. Our AT&T and Verizon phones had decent signal strength. Couldn't program any over-the-air TV channels but who cares? Get out of your RV and enjoy the beach!

I don't often use the word resort for campground, but it definitely fits here. It has its own enclosed area on the key, and one could spend an entire stay just in this area, enjoying the pool, beach, restaurant, and watching all the pelicans do their thing on the dock. However, don't do that because the Keys have so much to do and so much to see. At mile marker 70, Fiesta Key sits about halfway down the Overseas Highway. We spent day trips to both Key West and Key Largo and especially liked the upper keys--but to each his/her own.

After looking at the map I realized that although there is some water in the form of a canal behind the site, we would mostly have a view of a boat trailer parking lot. Since we were paying a lot of money to stay waterfront I didn't think that was worth it. I asked for a better site and they moved us to 189 which was perfect. I'm very thankful for that customer service. Check in was confusing. The pre-arrival email said we could go directly to our site and click a button to let them know we were there. But that's not how it works. You actually have to pull over to the right and wait for someone to come out to you to check you in and escort you to your site.We really miss the Lobster Crawl restaurant. When we stayed there 3 years ago we ate there several nights during our stay. We tried the new restaurant, but it's just not nearly as good in our opinion. The campground staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and we love the pool area and hot tub. I just wish the sites weren't so close together. It would be nice to have a little more space, but I guess you can't really do that with the water front sites.Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked great.

While this RV Resort has had several owners over the years, we have stayed here over 10 times, in the past 30 years. Ideal location for boating to to explore both the Everglades, and Penkyamp National Park marine reef. My only gripe this visit, is the seas levels are rising and the streets and the boat launch area flooded after thunderstorms. (see photo's) Fiesta Key has installed new rocks for the area when you park the RV, so the RV area is dry, but the streets, stay flooded for days.

The sites are in great shape, and offer lots of room compared to other beach type campgrounds. As far as I can tell the only things not up and running yet is the cable service, and maybe there were more trees before. The sites are pretty open, having a few palm trees around for some shade relief would be nice, but we are also here in the sunshine state! Be advised there are some older sitemaps out on the internet that show some sites as not full hook-up, those are old. Since the renovation all sites are full hookup.Staff was very nice on entry, took us to our site and helped us back in. Gave us a quick tour, and help share the new news. For example the outdoor bar/restaurant opened back up, as did the kids playground as of our stay.Kids playground is great with activities for many age kids. It is all fenced in so nice and safe too. The pool has two areas, a kids shallow zone (2ft deep) and a deeper zone for us larger kids. They come around all day long grabbing any trash that you set out, and there are a variety of activities. We liked the sunset toast where champagne is shared at sunset point.Cellular signals vary a bit widely depending on carrier and where you are on the island. If out at some of the points I got strong AT&T and T-Mobile signals, but they were drastically reduced around my campsite (like 2 bars). Fortunately they offer internet access here that was pretty reliable at 15Mbs download speeds for ~$15 for a week. This made working remote easy here with reliable internet, which at most campgrounds reliable internet is really not a thing, so this was a plus. I was able to conduct video conference calls smoothly. If I had some feedback to the resort on the internet it would be that adding the ability to link my Winegard wifi up to the paid wifi would have been great. Unfortunately I was only able to connect my individual devices, which the signal went down inside my camper, where my Winegard could have gotten stronger signal and insured inside my camper was also strong.

About an hour's drive to Key West so not ideal if that's where you want to be. But to drive the Seven Mile Bridge, it was a fantastic location.I enquired about staying extra nights but their TT allocation was booked up so the standard rate of about $105/night would have been charged. That's too expensive for any RV ground in my opinion.Having only one night - and in a thunderstorm no less - I never used much in the way of facilities but it looked very well equipped. One downside I could comment on was poor Wifi and only available near the office from what I could tell.Sites were quite close together as is expected. The rangers were on hand to show me to the site and help back me in. Very clean, very level.

The waterfront sites have stunning views and there are common areas to watch the incredible sunrises and sunsets here. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful during our stay here in late Feb / early March 2019. I am a retired United States Air Force Officer with over 33 years of dedicated service to my country, and can’t deny that I have never been so humiliated and discriminated in my life. I felt like we were punished for being Hispanic, and that is not only not fair, but a very unjust and prejudicial treatment. To make a long and painful story short, the General manager denied our visiting guests the opportunity to get together with me and my wife and other friends staying at the campground. We asked for them to be allowed to visit us and were denied the opportunity; we asked to allow them to go to the restaurant so we could meet with them there and were told that they knew that we were trying to “sneak-them into” the Campground and that “there were more restaurants down the road.” When I complained about that attitude, I was asked if I wanted to check out and get a refund, which was extremely rude and discriminatory. I contacted the restaurant manager and the owner and was told that they have problems with the Campground General Manager attitude and disrespect to some restaurant guests, denying them the opportunity to visit the restaurant. While consumers are not a protected class (such as age or gender), businesses should be concerned with treating patrons with dignity and thankful for their support. I know that it is not uncommon for companies to refuse to serve someone even if they’re in a protected group, but the refusal can’t be arbitrary and can’t be applied to just one group of people. To avoid being arbitrary, there must be a reason for refusing service and you must be consistent. There could be a dress code to maintain a sense of decorum, or fire code restrictions on how many people can be in your place of business at one time, or a policy related to the health and safety of your customers and employees. But you can’t just randomly refuse service to someone because you don’t like the way they look, dress, or speak.I suggest that Equity Lifestyle Properties, Inc., the owners of Encore RV Resorts and Thousand Trails RV Campgrounds, take a note and make sure that their employees receive formalized training and learn what discrimination looks like, so they can avoid committing discriminatory acts in the near future. We will definitely not be going back to Fiesta Key! I know that probably their General Manager won’t care about it, but businesses always need to remember that one satisfied customer will attract a few other customers, but one dissatisfied customer will be the worst advertisement any company or corporation will have. We are not asking for an apology for us, but I wish they offer one to the people who were treated like criminals at the gate only for trying to be good friends and enjoy a good time with us…or was it because we are Hispanic? We pulled up to this resort and were instantly registered and greeted with a friendly, “Welcome home!”The resort has everything you could possibly want in an RV resort. We were headed south from Melbourne Beach, FL en route to Key West, FL, but didn’t want to hoof it all the way. I had checked several locations for our stop over, but many were full due to the Memorial Day holiday on our check in date. This resort had plenty of sites open, and even had different levels of sites. We opted for a value site--water and electric, but no sewage hookup. (We had no neighbors and could actually see the water from our site!) The waterfront sites are beautiful, but we had a waterfront site reserved in Key West and were trying to gauge our tanks to see what our usage actually is. It turns out our tank usage is actually pretty high--I’m not pointing the finger at anyone beside myself. My blissful hot shower totally filled the tank. Oops. Fortunately this resort rents out stationary Rvs and they have a mobile pump guy that will empty your tank at your site for $25. We put this service to use and it was super pleasant and handy! This site is really close to so many activities, restaurants, and grocery stores. On site there is a restaurant, but we didn’t try it. There is also a pool, playground, shuffleboard courts, a marina, and a thousand iguanas. If you want wifi it’s free in the clubhouse, but you have to pay to have it at your site. If you’re looking for a really nice RV resort, this one totally checks all of the boxes.

To be fair, about 50% of this park was closed to be fixed up after the hurricane that went through that area - but still this place was amazing! Also, they were actively working to get it back up and running, so I still give this a top rating. We came all the way from Miami and sure, driving there takes time, but so does getting anywhere in the keys. Once we got there, it was easy to get in, get to our site and it was wonderfully level. They have a corner of the park with a tiki hut to watch the sunset and it should not be missed. Also, inside the park there is a restaurant called Lobster Crawl and the food is really good. This helps since the closest restaurant is 30-45 minutes each way. They have happy hour on drinks and food - make sure you go.The pool is also good and they have a brand new playground set for the kids. There is an onsite marina also.We look forward to coming back here as soon as we can!
