Awful! It’s rundown and very cramped. Not what it used to be at all. Would not recommend.
Great place to go for scallop season

This campground is a fun, convenient spot to camp. It has a pool, game room, water access and is close to groceries and restaurants. It is also just a few minutes to Homassassa Springs by boat and that's a great place to hang out. They will allow you to use 4-wheelers as long as you stay under the 5 mph speed limit. This allowed us to use the 4-wheeler to load/unload the jet ski. I would say it is very family friendly, but we went with some others who didn't think that was the case. It has a bar/restaurant at the boat ramp. While, I thought it was great, my friends didn't. They have a lot of waterfront spots, but most are taken by long-term residents and those that you can rent are very tight. The dock is public, so if you have a waterfront site, you won't have much privacy. We have been here several times and our only complaint is the dock space. The space behind your campsite is supposed to be for your boat, but a lot of people have boats that are wider than their site (very tight) so it spills over into your dock space. It can be difficult at times. If you camp away from the water, the site are much more roomy. Overall, though, it's a fun place.

We were put back in the F section. Sites so close together our awning almost touched the motor home in front. Neighbors behind were so cramped they couldn't get their awning out or sit outside. Mostly gravel to track inside. Wi fi not working. Many perm/seasonals some pretty run down and junky appearance. A lot of partyers in this park...moreWe were put back in the F section. We would not stay here again or recommend.

Stayed here for 3 weeks - sites all seemed mostly level. The area near us (72 and 74X) nearer to the front entrance seemed quieter than the area down by the marina and the bar/restaurant. I was able to launch my kayak for $5 from the boat launch at the marina, which was great! It is probably a 30-40 min paddle to Homosassa Springs one way. For those who want to go to the springs - turn right out of the boat launch, go under the overpass, and turn left at the first branch. No wifi internet at the sites - I used my Verizon and AT&T hotspots to work remotely (Verizon was stronger than AT&T, but both worked fine), and I could stream Netflix using 2 bars on my Verizon phone. Supposedly there is internet at the clubhouse, but my parents couldn't get it to work. Cable tv had mixed success - even though next door to my parents, I had fuzzy tv but lots of channels, and they had clear tv with a handful of channels. Sites are a little small, but everyone was respectful and friendly. A little older amenities, but everything was very clean. All in all, I would stay here again.

What you will see if you get sent to “F” loop, which is where they send the short stay larger rigs (around 40’) is a parking lot with no space between units. The loop is on the creek bank but you won’t know it. There are permanent modular units and 5th wheels parked end to end on the banks with gates and no trespassing signs between each one (see photos). You’ll have to walk to the end of the loop where there’s a small pond connected to the creek. The rest of the campground is tiny back-in sites with crowded RVs who have filled every square inch of their tiny lots with yard art, cars, trailers, golf carts and motorcycles and boats. There’s a clubhouse which we really didn’t visit and a “marina” with a bar and grill which is really an old bar with dirty tables, wreaking of cigarette smoke and blaring music. There does seem to be a strong sense of community among the campers, which is good since they are all in such close proximity to each other every day and night. There is 50/30 amp power, water and sewer on the loop where we stayed, as well as internet and cable TV. The internet was poor, really the only positive thing there was the cable TV which is good since you have no view and no space between rigs to enjoy anything outside your gravel parking space. The hookups are all curiously located in the rear of the sites so everyone needed two or three sewer hoses to reach the inlets. You’ll need a water hose and TV cable at least the length of your rig to connect. The office staff was preoccupied with the phones which made check-in take longer than it should have and there are numerous other reviews describing their rude demeanors. Most campers keep their dogs leashed but we heard about one or two consistently loose dogs and saw one for ourselves. There are dog clean up stations placed throughout the campground and they are made use of for the most part except for a few irresponsible parties which you always have in crowded campgrounds such as this. They are working on new areas which weren’t open yet during our stay however we will not be staying at Nature Resort Campground again under any circumstances. Also, the bridge on the road coming in and out of the campground on W Halls River Road is under construction and reduced to one lane, so expect to wait coming and going at all times of the day and night. This was the last week of January, 2017.
