Nice area. Very nice staff. Perfect if u have a razor or other off road vehicle. Town is ok but ridiculous mask rules. Didn’t shop there. Went to Ouray instead. Much nicer town. Not a lot of good hiking trails. Good here for two to three days maybe not a week. We left early.
Ok for a short stay.

I used my HotSpot for wifi. I thought it was overpriced. I would stay there again in a pinch. We also stayed at Kendal Campground just outside Silverton. Free and great spots.
Really nice campground, we'll be back for sure.

The campground itself was well maintained, as were the laundry and shower facilities. Our site was level and the utilities were all easy to access for setup. Access to Jeep/ATV/UTV trails were right out of our site, you don't even have to get on the main road and there are some amazing trails here if you are Jeepers like we are. We liked it so much here we are going to stay for a month next time. Highly recommended!

Very clean and friendly staff. Sites are close together. Access to ATV and hiking trails straight from camp. Amazing views. We did not have reservations and they were very accommodating and were able to squeeze us in last min. The reason for 4 stars is we were backed up to the road and our site was a bit soggy.
Zero Compassion and Understanding.

On our way to Silverton, we were in an accident in our RV. The RV was done for. I called to explain the situation and the lady said they would only give me a partial refund. I asked why and she said it was their policy. I asked if it was the same even though we had to cancel due to an accident. We stayed 5 nights in the south unit which is in town. It is a short walk to anywhere in the town. The only drawback is that there is only WiFi in the office. The owners are very friendly and helpful!
Not many options...pricey and crowded!

But we got lucky w site 45 because it had quite a bit of room, other people weren’t so lucky and their sites were very close to each other. But beware that site 45 is right next to the road that goes up the canyon, lots of cars and atv traffic. Lots of people here w ATVs' so they go back and forth every minute. Good park, just too pricey for us. We like bokndocking!

Reasonable pricing for laundry, and they allow those of us staying up in the national forest to use their laundromat. Indeed, the woman we spoke with said it was more or less where anyone in town can come and do laundry. There are two sections, the one that has the laundry room is any easy walk into the incredibly cute town of Silverton, the other would be more of a hike...but still doable. No AT&T service at all in Silverton, FYI.
excellent amenities, located within walking distance to town

We camped in our roof top tent and the location made us feel like we were miles away, yet we were able to walk right over to downtown Silverton. Silverton is a very special place, surrounded by the most beautiful mountains and filled with great people and many shops and restaurants with fair prices and surrounded by many opportunities for adventures and exploring. Plan your trip during the new moon and the night sky will blow your mind. This was our second visit to Silverton Lakes in early June and we will most definitely return.
