We were fortunate to get this as someone had cancelled just before we called. The reservation over the phone was quick and the staff was very friendly. Check-in was well done. Our package was at the front, we signed a form and put it a box. We didn’t use any amenities, but what we could see was in good condition. The park itself is mainly gravel with some grass area. The site was level, hook ups conveniently located and in good condition. I found the space between sites to be reasonable. I saw some reviews complain about noise including the train (did you even notice the name of this place?). I’ve heard the train once and can see it from my site. Nice. There happens to be a rodeo going on nearby, so the pleasant sound of horses. I’m good with that. Nothing bothersome.

Sites are level gravel, utilities functioned as expected and park was far enough off of the highway that traffic noise was not a problem. There was a bit of rail noise but the name of the park should be adequate to prepare you to accept that. We would probably stay here again, didn’t see anything in the area to make us think booking this park was a mistake.

Laundry room was nice but one of the dryers sounded like it was on its last leg but got the job done. One negative is the tracks are right behind it and there is a train that rolls thru around 11 pm or so. Not too big of a deal to not stay again.

Noise : just be aware that you are railside, wasn't too bad usually quiet after 9pm. The kids loved waving at the conductors of the trains.

The staff was super nice and accommodating. The sites are not large, but they are level and easily accessible with FHUs. The layout of the buildings is a bit odd, but they are so cute with a pet spa, fitness center, showers/restrooms, outdoor grills and fire pits, two hot tubs, and a sauna. The laundry room is small, but with great prices $1.25/wash, $.50/45 mins dry and it really dries the first time. The big barn (all buildings are done in the same rustic style and very well-maintained) is where the daily continental breakfast is served, offering fresh-made waffles, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, instant oatmeal, OJ, tea, and coffee. The entire upstairs of the barn is a recreational space with ping-pong, billiards, darts, a reading corner with fireplace, games/puzzles, and a lovely view. As the park's name suggests, it borders the railroad tracks for the train that runs up to the Grand Canyon, but it doesn't run frequently or at night, so it's never a problem. Plenty of OATV. We didn't use the cable TV or WiFi.

What we didn't expect was the loud sounds of the gravel inside the park (even just people walking on it) as well as the nearby excavation site. The park is in the industrial part of town and just down the road from the fairgrounds. The pull-thru sites are quite level, but are very close together and rather short. One neighbor had to park their truck extremely close to our slide and the other neighbor's vehicle was right by our picnic table. The park does offer some great amenities including hot waffles and cereal in the clubhouse for breakfast. We also enjoyed the free pet wash (aka pet spa)! The fitness center and clubhouse are impressive and the laundry, though small, offered some of the lowest prices we have seen yet ($1.00 to wash; .$.50 to dry). The wifi was almost unusable, but Verizon and AT&T signals were strong.

This is not one of those fancy, smancy RV Resorts but it definitely is a great place that has a lot to offer. The staff was terrific from the time we first hit the front gate. Could not be more welcoming. The RV park itself was very clean and quiet. We did not get to take full advantage of all the amenities they had to offer. We did take advantage of a great breakfast, fellowship with staff, owners, and other RVers that was provided for all of the RVers. The staff also arranged a really great day trip on the Grand Canyon Railway to the South Rim of the grand Canyon for us and it was absolutely great. We definitely enjoyed our time at Railside RV Ranch and look forward to doing it again.

We didn't bring our tow car so we used the free shuttle to go to town a few times and to Bearizona once. The owners usually drive the shuttle and are really nice friendly people with lots of info and advice about local businesses and activities. The sites are pretty tight but not horrible. They provide a free home-made waffle breakfast with hard-boiled eggs and coffee. They have a sauna, and two spas which looked great but we didn't use them because we were too far away. Although the park is close to the railroad tracks and I-40 the noise is not bad - we can hardly hear the highway and trains aren't going by all the time. We will probably be back.

Williams itself is a cute little town with lots to do. I chose this park over others in town because of the off leash dog area (which turns out are two 10x10 areas with not much area to run). Even though it was nice I would probably choose another park in town. The park itself is about a 20 minute walk through a semi rundown neighborhood or on one road with few sidewalks and a busy road. Not so bad, but I probably wouldn’t walk it after dark. You are directly on the railroad so you will hear the train tooting it’s horn at 6:30 am and multiple times throughout the morning. It’s also close to the highway so you also have that. I use a sound machine and could still hear the noise. Sites are gravel, level and are packed in. WiFi was good during the day but slow when everyone returns to their RV. They do have nice facilities with a “spa”, dog wash, recycling and a continental breakfast from 8-10 am.
