If you've been to Sedona AZ, you know it is breathtaking for its scenery but full of tourists and traffic. So go about 5 miles south and stay at the Lo Lo Mai park. Quiet, tranquil, well-maintained. Right on a stream with big shade trees. An extraordinary rv park, and close to the Sedona tourists experience.

We have stayed here multiple times, for many days per stay, to enjoy the natural surroundings, low key vibe and GREAT location (10 minute drive to Cottonwood, Clarksdale and Sedona, 20 minutes to Camp Verde, 30 minutes to Jerome and an hour(ish) to Prescott and Flagstaff). Surrounded by hiking, off-roading and petroglyphs. The people are kind and facilities are basic but clean. We stayed in our 21 ft tear drop across all four seasons, in the lower campground area (mixed use of rv and tent camping sites) which is immersed in the trees and close to the creek. We’ve seen everything from owls, hawks, cardinals, robins and herons to squirrels, raccoon, skunk and cows! The property is also home to a trio of sweet alpacas, peacocks, goats and chickens and has a beautiful fresh water spring where dragonflies flit about during the warmer months. Hands down our favorite place to stay in this part of the state!

We travel to experience the outdoors, and if you’re like us, this is the perfect spot!We didn’t have cell service, which is a welcomed break for me. Our family played in the creek for hours and had so much fun. Other families around, and kids exploring make it the perfect place. Tent sites and cabins available as well.

The whole campground is completely overgrown with trees and vegetation, very quaint and nature like, but also very difficult to maneuver in, without adding some scratches to your rig. For this amount of money, you expect level concrete pads, not dirt, adjacent to small concrete pads. The trees were not trimmed well around the campsites. All the roads are gravel and dirt, and of course it rained the weekend we were there, so the roads were very muddy. Difficult for big rigs to get in and out of here. We are 38’ and barely made it. I would not go in anything bigger. Fine if you have a small trailer or tent camp, but we will look for mother campground the next time we visit Sedona.By the way, you are in the bottom of a ravine and there is no cell service. So many trees, it’s also difficult to get satellite TV.

Tons of trees and big grassy spots, Lo Lo Mai sits right on Oak Creek. Spaces are large and many are shaded. Playground, basketball, etc. for the kids. Swimming pool appears well maintained. We didn't use them, but were told the bathhouse was clean and nice. It's a big campground that is very spread out so it's easy to get a bit of privacy. Staff was very accommodating and left one space between us and our friends so we'd have plenty of room. Water and electric provided with an easily accessible dump station on site. Easy access from campground to Sedona, Cottonwood, nearby wineries, etc. Highly recommend this quiet little slice of heaven and are making plans to go back for another stay. Only negative was internet / cell coverage was poor to non-existent, but with all of the beauty around us, we really didn't care. Coverage was available at the club house.

Also the sites are very nice. We had a concrete pad next to us with a picnic table. They have lots of rules here. Rightfully so, no music being played, camp fires only in provided rings, little things, but other than that, great place. Cell service is poor here. They do have wifi however. Plus, sometimes it’s nice to have a break from the phone.

Their is also a little lake that we saw kids fishing in. Spots were bigger with firepits that we really enjoyed. It is located 8 to 10 miles south of Sedona. It was about the same distance to the old mining town of Jerome which we enjoyed very much. We walked around the park a few times. There are several cabins and a lot of tent sites. If I was a tent camper this would be my first choice. Nicely spaced areas under the trees and next to the streams. The park was well taken care of although we did not use showers or restrooms we did check them out and they appeared clean and adequate. Note, there is little to no cell reception. Wifi was very intermittent at our location. They do have strong wifi in area of the office.

The staff was friendly and helped us back into our site. The road coming in and out of the campground had large speed bumps and was narrow and only big enough for one vehicle at a time. To be expected the prices inside the store were high, grab your gear and treats in town first. Overall this is a hidden gem. We are definitely going back.

The temperatures were hot, and the pool and creek were cold. We were in sights #11 and #13. #11 had AMAZING shade, #13 - not so much, which made for hot mornings. That aside, we spent most of our time down by the creek (an easy walk), playing, swimming, exploring, and riding our tubes. Make sure you bring a tube or something to float on (or you can buy them in the Lo Lo Mai General Store). A beach chair is helpful too for sitting right in the water at the creek and relaxing. This campground has several alpacas at the entrance as well, which our kids loved to walk to and visit each day. They have a playground and swings, hot tub, along with several large grassy areas where our kids would run around and play. The campground is also large enough that it was fun for our daughter to ride her bike around exploring. The WiFi was terrible - no cell phone service for us (Verizon) around the entire campground, and their WiFi only worked in one area (near their main check in area), and it was super super slow. So if you need service/internet, this campground isn’t for you. I would have expected this to work better for how much we paid per night. We also appreciate distancing from technology, so overall this wasn’t a huge issue for us.When you make your reservation they won’t guarantee 30 vs. 50 amps. We requested 50 amps and did get it for both sites (and sewer), so we were pretty happy about that! We also had to pay an extra $5/night per kid - that was a little crazy to us. Overall, we had a really great experience and would go back again - there is a lot to do at this campground for all ages.

Plenty of space between neighbors. A park like setting with grass and trees. We were a short walk to playground and basketball court, showers and laundry. A few full timers in park, but everyone is very friendly. Front office left us a ladder and a tool to fix our awning. One of the best places to access Oak Creek for tubing, swimming, and just floating in the natural creek to cool off from a hot day. Temps are close to 100 this time of year so I was glad we had full hook ups with AC in our RV. No breed restrictions. Our Pitbull was friendlier and quieter then some campers barking lap dogs. DVDs are free to rent for the kids get tired of playing outside.A little expensive, but we are new to RVing so maybe it wasn’t for full hookups, 2 adults and 4 kids, plus one pet.

She even gave me her WiFi password so I could get some service which was spotty at best. The showers and restrooms were kept clean. The park needs some upkeep. Trees need to be trimmed, pot holes filled in and tree roots removed. You must be back at the campground before sunset. Obviously, that leaves guests missing the the beautiful sunsets in Sedona. Spoke to long time guest briefly and she said she camped there last year for 10 days. They were asked to move to another space near the end of their visit. So before leaving last year they booked for this year, choosing a space. When they arrived that space was taken. She would not be back next year.

I want to love this place, but the pros and cons are about equal so I'm a firm 3 stars on this one again. The good: It's close to Sedona but not that close. Being far from the crowds and traffic jams is definitely a plus. And how can you not love a shaded campground that's far from any busy road yet still right along Oak Creek? There's also plenty of spots, you feel safe, and you have free access to practical things like restrooms and showers and fun things like a pool, hot tub, and basketball court. The bad: Said amenities are rundown and quite dirty. The clubhouse looks pretty from the outside, but the inside is old and musty; it's such a waste because the building truly has potential. The restrooms are not just old, but some doors don't latch, some plugs don't work, and the restrooms don't have a very clean feel. Which is surprising because the rates here are pretty darn high. A bill of $155.23 for three nights of camping in your own tent is downright astronomical. Even though my friend and I EACH paid that, we were placed in a site that had only one picnic table and fire pit because "this site is big enough for two tents." Upon arrival, I was notably displeased, and rightly so because I arrived early enough on a Thursday intending to get two sites along the creek. When I called to make the reservation, they were sure to let me know they cannot guarantee a certain site, but they noted I wanted to be adjacent to my friend's site and along the creek. Instead, we got one site that was not along the creek even though there were plenty of sites open that we could have been assigned. No one could tell me the bananas logic of why we (two families who will be there for 3 nights) had to take one site that wasn't as good as families who would be there for two nights. "There are many factors that go into it," was the only answer I received. In fairness, only half the management had rotten attitudes. The younger employees were reasonable and understanding, but they were completely at the mercy of the owners and their old school ways. My hope is that when this property moves to the hands of the younger generation, everything from the grounds to the reservation system to customer service will improve.

I've heard a lot of great things about this campground, so I was excited to score two nights during a very busy season for them over fall break.Maybe the hype was too much. Maybe it was the rain they had the previous two days creating mud all around our trailer. Maybe it was the first time in over three years we've had rowdy neighbors who like to smoke and drink into the wee hours. I think if none of those things had happened, we would have had a lovely time at Lo Lo Mai. So let's go from there. It really is an oasis in the desert. A cute (bit scummy right now) pond is near the cabins. The creek runs right past both rv and tent campsites. I asked for one of those, but they were "pretty muddy." Hmm. Must have been really muddy! They have a pool, hot tub, antiquated clubhouse with some movies and games you could borrow if you wanted to, and an old shuffleboard pad. The bathhouses are truly straight out of 1950, so you either love that or hate that. They were clean and worked and that's all that mattered to us.Trina scheduled our reservations over the phone and she was super helpful and kind. Check in and check out were a breeze. As other reviews state, this place is quite tight. We weren't bothered by any low branches (even with our bikes on top of the truck), but the roads in/out and through go both ways but are only one lane. That makes it a bit tricking hauling in and out. The speed bumps going down the hill weren't a problem, but it's quite a climb getting out of there so those were tricky. Thankfully, it's paved or we would have had some trouble in the rain. It's a bit pricey at $60 a night, but you do get full hook-ups (or at least water and electric), and it's certainly a bargain compared to Sedona hotels. The spots are small, but they only use every other site. Maybe that's different in other seasons. Our site was a pull through, but the "living area" with the fire ring and picnic table were right out in the open near the road. We didn't get the best site, and this is one of those places that assigns you a spot when you arrive; you can't choose it beforehand. It's located along a winding road, but if you come in off of 89A instead of Cornville Road, it's easier with an RV or trailer. There are some wineries down the street along Page Springs that I wish we'd had time to check out. There is no cell service unless you are near the clubhouse and signed in to their wi-fi.I guess the weirdest thing about this place is that the owners purposefully attract skunks and raccoons. Around 6 pm, a man sets out dry cat food for the show. He says, "OK guys. Just wait a minute," and then a few moments later skunks and raccoons show up to eat it. We kept our distance, but maybe some people like the threat of being sprayed or catching a disease from raccoon poop. We thought it was gross.

The staff at Lo Lo Mai is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful, Thanks Carrie for helping us with our reservation of a big group. We didn't leave the campground the whole 3 day we were there. They have so many things to do like a rope swing, hiking and they even have a swimming pool and hot tub. There is weak cell service but they do have speedy wifi. since our campsite was right next to the river we had a TON of flies swarming us... nothing was working to keep them away until we figured out that bug repellent will make them go running. Lo Lo Mai also has free showers with HOT water. This campground also has a great convince store that has things from charcoal, air mattresses to push pops. We will be returning to this campground

The location, we would give a 5 because it is central. The bathrooms are very clean with great water pressure. The upkeep and updating needs to be done to this RV Park. There is lack of gravel and very dusty.

There are narrow roads and lots of trees here, so you want to make sure you can fit.** We stayed for 3 days/nights in mid-March 2016 in our 30 ft gas Class A. Yes, Spring Break, but we got in and were put in a quiet area of this family- and dog-friendly resort. This is not a 55+ resort, and if you enjoy hearing and seeing families with kids having lots of (noisy) fun, you'll enjoy LoLoMai Springs (we did). This area is a riparian treasure in Arizona. Over 360 gallons of water a minute flow out of the springs, and the resort fronts almost a mile of Oak Creek river bank. The RV sites are either on grass or dirt (some dust, so we used our mat). The women in the front office are professional, nice, and good resources. Yes, there is a man on staff who comes across gruff, but don't let that stop you from staying here. We rarely saw him. There are at least 2 fishing areas along Oak Creek, and at least one swimming hole. Go to the resort's web site for more information. You can also rent cabins or tent camp in a gorgeous, quiet area of the resort. The access road into the resort off Page Springs Road is very narrow. We had FHU but resort visitors said the showers and laundry were fine. WiFi and cell signals are very spotty, and strongest by the front office, but not optimal. So, come here to unplug from your devices and sit on the banks of Oak Creek under the towering Sycamores and Cottonwoods with a cold beverage in hand. We will stay here again.
