Cash or check ONLY. Full hook ups but nothing fancy. All pull through sites. Gravel roads and pads. No picnic tables. Simple place good for an overnight stop off I65.

  • Convenient to I65.

Level pull through sites. Water pressure is rated at 70psi, so use a pressure regulator.

  • Good park, Wi-Fi a little suspect!

Stayed for five days at Thanksgiving. Park was busy but quiet. Several one night stoppers. Sites were all pull through but were very unlevel. Crushed rock. Good water and power. We were visiting family so we would try them again. They were cash only and reservations are made by phone.

  • We left due to electrical problems

The electricity was surging so dramatically that our surge protector (and several other campers) shut off the power to our 40’ motor home. Management’s response was that we should not use a surge protector. We demanded, and received, a full refund and left the campground.

Northgate is a great place to stop for a quick overnight. It has easy access to the city of Athens (dining, shopping, just minutes from Wal-mart). Access is easy, located just off I65.Despite the proximity to the highway and the road, the noise isn't bad at all. Access is easy, located just off I65.Despite the proximity to the highway and the road, the noise isn't bad at all. You'll hear more out of the owners chickens than you will traffic. The place is very clean and site quality is great. They offer no amenities - no showers, no laundry, nothing, but full-hookup sites. They make it very clear that they prefer self-contained RVs that are just passing through. In talking to the owners, they are not RV people, and they don't much care for RV people. They seem to think that the majority are Cousin Eddie, but they are OK with you if your rig looks nice and you don't make any moves to look like you might be staying long (I wouldn't put down your patio rug). We've stayed here three times overall. In C6, C7, and C4. The sewer hookups are a bit high in C7, but that's really the only complaint about any of the sites. Overall, their sites are nice and level. Cell signal was good there on both At&T and Verizon.

Cash only, we used twice to and from elsewhere, and it's perfect for that. Literally the first driveway off the interstate - don't come barreling off at full speed! In the morning unhook and you are right back on :D

Great place for an overnight stop. Long spaces which allow for dingy to remain hooked up. We were in a 43 foot motorhome.

We pulled into this place after a long day driving. It is exactly as others state, good for an overnight stay, no amenities. It's easy on/off the highway. The sites are gravel and level. We are 40 feet long and towing a car and JUST fit into our pull through site. But it worked. Warning...the power pedestal is very low to the ground. We had to really bend the cord on our power conditioner to plug it in. The water is supplied by self draining hydrants, so there is no concern with the campground turning off the water when it gets cold out. The campground WiFi was 1 Mbps down. My Verizon hotspot had a full set of bars (I could see the tower). Over the air TV was good. This place is not fancy, but it gets the job done when you are tired of driving.
