After experiencing several windy days effecting our ability to travel, we were happy to discover the camping area. The office staff (Elizabeth) let us come in early. We set up camp and rode out the storm. The area is a little bit industrial. There was an excavator running most of the day, so it was a little noisy. We were just happy not being in a Cracker Barrel parking lot and able to charge up our devices! There is a brand new handicap shower that was very nice. Although, when they installed the valve, it restricted the flow of hot water!! It was tolerable! If you need an overnight stay, this is adequate

Some sort of plant across the river/lake that was noisy all the time and next to campground appeared to be a metal disposal company with huge equipment picking up things and dropping them all day. Only plus what they didn’t do that at night so only had the plant noises and freight trains. I am sure if you stay long enough you might get use to the noise, but not what I considered a vacation.

  • Decent view, quiet, tight spot

Site 5 was on the water overlooking the marina. Really tight spot and our large fifth wheel hung out over the water. Which was kind of cool! Felt like we were on a boat. Which was kind of cool! Felt like we were on a boat. Our power went out at their main line, but the maintenance man was there quickly and was very nice (on a Sunday!) Seemed like a lot of the people staying were there to work at the plants nearby, not much family- friendly action. There's a new small pool that we didn't go in, but looked nice. Lots of construction and new road being put in. Overall, fine for a short stay, but not much to do. A couple spots were really nice, would stay again if we could get those.
