If you have a rear window try to get a perimeter site. It is a couple minutes drive to the waterfront where there is tons of free parking, seafood places, shops and otters. Two state parks nearby with hiking and tide pools. Fine access to Hwy 1 with the elephant seals and Big Sur scenery. Nice laundry onsite. WiFi pretty good. The only real negative was that a construction project is going on at the school next door so lots of noise during the week.

There are 2 different areas of this park, across the street from each other. Don’t know much about park 1 that is for RV’s over 25ft. We stayed in park 2 for RV’s under 25ft. Very narrow sites , we could park our 23ft travel trailer but couldn’t fit our truck any which way in our site. Had to park on the closest main street. No shade but full hook ups. The ladies bathroom is set up with 2 toilet stalls. But the 2 showers have less privacy than most places we’ve stayed. All the other RV parks in town were booked solid so this was our last chance in Morro Bay.

When we arrived it had just rained pretty good so there was a lot of puddles. The grounds keeper lady brought us over a little wooded deck to place over the water up to our stairs. Couldn’t have been more grateful for that. The access to the beach was perfect walking distance if need be. We couldn’t have been any more pleased with our stay there. I wanted bring their groundskeeper lady home with us, she keeps the grounds perfect. Yes, it is asphalt and rock and because of the rains we couldn’t have been any more happier with that. Also, they were so helpful especially during this whole Covid-19 issue. We will definitely be going back.
We had a great spot with views of the beach and ocean

This campground is basically a concrete parking lot adjacent to the beach and ocean. It is conveniently located as a great stop-over to your final destination. The full hook-up sites are not on the beach side and don’t have views but that’s the trade-off as we did not have hook ups on our site. This RV park is nothing fancy … at all. I truly don't know how they justify $60 a night for gravel and dirt sites that were muddy when we arrived. Our site was just long enough for the motorhome but we had to park the car sideways to fit. The site was narrow, and there was no privacy between sites. There are several long term older RVs but sites seem reasonably cared for. The park is on route 41 across the street from a water treatment plant. The road stays busy during the day but quiets down at night. You can walk to the beach which requires a short trek up route 41 past the water treatment plant and down a beach access area. Verizon coverage was 4g 3 bars, and the WII FI actually worked!! Directv satellite coverage was fine. When we were there, it was very noisy. There were people next door and behind us with lots of kids, car alarms going off, and loud talking. We would not stay here again.

This facility looked great. A deluxe site (70' x45') was coming open for the period we desired. We jumped on it. Stayed for a week. WiFi was initially very strong, but became rather sporadic over the weekend. Roof mounted satellite TV had plenty of clearance. Park was very quiet, mostly retired, as are we. Winds can get pretty strong in Morro. The park offered pretty good protection even when gusts were reported at 65 mph in the immediate area. The park was a little far for walking to Morro's tourist shops & restaurants, but a very easy drive to everything, including Hearst Castle.
