We made advance reservations along with our travel mates and were preliminarily assigned sites 118 and 122. Upon our arrival, we were advised that site 122 was occupied and we were assigned site J-10, the worst site available and away from our travel mates, though there were a multitude of other sites available which would accommodate us. Charma the manager explained however that those sites were reserved. Now you may ask, wasn’t your site reserved, well yes, yes it was but we understand that that can be subject to change so then why were we not given one of the available sites. Charma explained that those sites had been reserved. Reserved, just like we had reserved our site. Charma was unable to explain as to why other reservations were recognized and ours wasn’t. After a lengthy incoherent conversation with Charma, I realized I had entered Bizzaro World. When I commented that we were given the worst site possible, as it was directly across from the office and entrance/exit, with maintenance vehicles stacked up everywhere and a stone’s throw away from the Morro Bay Sewage Treatment Plant and the furthest possible site from our travel mates, she had no reply other than a should shrug. However, as a gesture of good will, she offered to make a note on our file that on our next visit, not to assign us J-10. Seriously, when we return, like we would have any intention of returning. The Park itself, it is actually a parking lot, with dirt pads, hookups, and no outdoor ambiance whatsoever, but the cable is outstanding. It is fenced so no view of the ocean and a very significant walk to reach the seashore. 44 inches separated our motorhome from our neighbor’s trailer, so to say the sites are close would be an understatement. If you forget your alarm they provide one between 6:50 and 7:00 a.m. when the heavy equipment next door begins operation at the sewer plant.Bottom line, this facility could care less as to customer service. Charma was very nice but not overly bright or accommodating. In closing, a site which would have nicely accommodated us near our travel mates remained vacant during our entire stay. Apparently this facility has so much business that it really could care less as to customer service. Welcome to Bizarro World!

This park has a retro feel. You can tell there are a few long timers. But mostly families visiting for the weekend or week. Short walk to the beach and to Morro rock. If it wasn’t so hard to get reservations we would be coming back more often.

We had a pull through site and was pretty good size.It is in a bit of an industrial area right across the street from the beach and beautiful Morro Rock. The only drawback for us was that it is right next to the wastewater treatment plant. Because the temp is usually cool we didn't smell anything. It is in great proximity to the harbor area and there are great bike paths so be sure to bring your bikes! We would stay again for sure.

This is not a landscaped park, but is very functional and is adjacent to a sandy beach and you can walk to shops and restaurants. The front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful! The park is efficiently run. Each campsite has full hookups with excellent wifi, cable tv, and each site has it’s own trashcan, (very convenient!). When we left, I forgot to unplug my surge protector. I called and they sent someone to that site and brought it back to the office and held it for me. They even offered to ship it to our house. So location, amenities, and service are top notch. Just not a type of park to hang around outside.

This location was incredible we could see the waves crashing from our bedroom window, and walked into town easily. The campground is well maintained and the staff was very kind. We toured the town extensively and other than the state park which looked great found this location to be a great option especially during Covid, the campers staying were spaced out which was a thoughtful touch. The downside...this park is next to the waste management of Morro Bay. Hence is can be smelly. Yea. That was a bummer but the site was quiet and you could request a site at the other end of the park. It was more motivation for lots of walks along the ocean!

You can walk or ride your bike from the campground to the rock, adjacent public lands and most of community. The sites are flat and services are as advertised. The downside is that the layout allows them to get just about as many tents, trailers and motorhomes in the campground as is possible. And, given the summer season, it was pretty full. I don't think that really bothered me since it was so easy to walk across the street to sand dunes and beach and it was an easy bike ride to shops, restaurants and, in my case, to a nearby Ace Hardware store for "motorhome" parts.

There is no water pressure, they dont get super hot, the shower head is too low and you can't change the angle of it at all. That combined with water treatment plant smell that the entire restroom had did not make for a pleasant experience.Come for the location and stay at the beach or in your rig.

The manager ran right out, found us an available site and told us we could pay in the morning. We were able to get set-up and hit the beach before sunset. A few things: the location cannot be beat. We walked right across the street onto the beach and Morro Rock was right there. The sites are close together, and it's a noisy park when completely full. We knew it wasn't going to be a restful night with it being the 4th of July, but it wasn't bad. We did not use the bathrooms or laundry facilities so I can't comment on that. We normally stay at state parks, but for one night (in which we didn't have a better plan) this was a great option.

Unfortunately it was right next to the bathroom, which made our site a pretty busy pathway to and fro. The park was more like an RV city, which is cute in its own way...but not an experience I'd want to repeat. I had a lot of concern that an wild pitch might send a baseball crashing into a window or the dog, that's how close you are to others' activities. There is wifi but it's intermittent and crashes in the evening, so we went a mile or so to Starbucks to work. Laundry is sparse given the amount of people trying to do it. The bathrooms were clean and showers were acceptable. So, the plus side to this is that the park is literally on the beach. You can walk to Morro Rock and follow the bike/ped path to the harbor. We saw otters and seals, which was a super fun treat.
