Awesome spot in the vast desert and Salton Sea. Hot springs and mineral spas and a pool. Little cafe diner also. They hand out maps for near by trails which is cool. They also rent on site cabins. Love it!
Good if you need full hook-ups

This campground is great if you require full hook-ups. The campground was recommended by friends due to its proximity to Salvation Mountain and Slab City (15 minute drive). The campground caters to ATV users (which we are not) so we expected constant ATV noise and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We stayed in spot 121 A-B and liked the views of the mountains on one side and the Salton Sea/Bombay Beach in the distance on the other side. If you prefer less congested camp spots, I would recommend spots 111-141 along Golf Course North/South or 143-154 along Park Drive/Dog Patch Lane. The campground also includes a decent store which has specialty beers like Sierra Nevada, the nearest store in Bombay Beach had a very limited selection of Bud/Coors/Miller. Free Wifi is available but the internet signal in spot 121 A-B was very weak.Since we don't require full hook-ups, next time we were to return to the Salton Sea area, we would stay along the Salton Sea. We checked out and liked Salt Creek ($10 a night/dry camping) or Mecca Beach ($20-$50 highly with dry/partial/full. Although, the camp host at Mecca Beach mentioned that they only have 4 full hook-up sites and that reserveamerica.gov always overbooks these, so they are not guaranteed).
