This is a Hugh facility with owner occupied mobile homes. The RV spots are gravel and dirt that are close to each other. I had a premium spot with a patio, BBQ firepit and table. Pools/hottubs are nice and the gym is well equipped .

We have been coming here for over 20 years. It is the best!Wonderful people, relaxing pools and spas, great desert scenery. You can ride your ATV right out of the park for hours of adventure. Large dog park and lots of desert hiking trails. Dog wash is a plus!

I will never stay here again and will warn everyone I know to stay away as well. We (myself and two friends) arrived on a Friday afternoon looking forward to a relaxing weekend at one of my favorite places. Late Friday night a large fifth wheel pulled in loudly and started dumping his items out of his truck also letting his three dogs run off-leash one of his dogs who is very large and aggressive charged my friend in our own camp barking and snapping at her until he called his dog back. His other two smaller dogs then came into our camp and used the restroom... in our camp, when pointed out to the dog owner he laughed it off and said to “calm down they are just saying hi”. I called the office to inform them since they have a supposedly strict leash rule I spoke with Anna and she said she would call the owner and inform him to keep his dog la on a leash. Not 30 mins later the guy pulled up again and again let his dogs off-leash where they proceeded to come directly into our camp. I called the office again and Anna then came down and asked if the guy was going to put his dogs on a leash he said yes and she left. I have now had to keep my dog in my rig most of the day so his off-leash aggressive dogs don’t cause issues. I went to the front office to complain and spoke to Silvia and her suggestion... is we move... three rigs already set up and this is the only course of action they are willing to do. This is beyond unacceptable and terrible behavior. The office already admitted the “guest” in question has been difficult to deal with but they continue to accommodate him while letting three of their also paying guests languish. Don’t come here if you are expecting a calm and well-run environment to relax in. Sadly this resort is changing to one that allows discourteous people and loud obnoxious ATVs it’s no longer a quiet, polite, and peaceful place to stay. Additionally, there are no mineral pools available that are not massively treated with chemicals and chlorine. Completely pointless to stay here.

The electric we had access to in Bombay Beach was reading reverse polarity so we could not connect and were using our dual fuel generator 7 hrs a day to keep cool. It was worth it to come here, plug in and run the AC 24/7. Our solar can't run the AC that long. Much of their activities were not happening due to COVID-19. The pools and spas were closed, etc but if it were not for the virus it seems this place is full of activity. We stayed in a premium spot (of which there are 5). It had full hook up and cable TV, a private gazebo (with table and chairs), a picnic table and BBQ grill (with propane included). Cable TV did not seem to work but that may be just me, not them. No matter, we are just fine without TV. We have Amazon Fire TV anyway. They do have some free internet as well as some pay internet but we have our own mobile RV internet so we did not use theirs. Everyone is super friendly, people stop and wave, everyone is socially distancing. Laundry facilities are great and they will fill your propane tanks, etc. We have great cell signal here both t-mobile and Verizon. They have everything from villa rentals to dry camping so what ever your style or budget

The savings, like most RV parks is in staying monthly. It was only 100.00 more to stay two more weeks. They also have dry camping that is a huge savings with good amenities in the dry camping area: excellent washroom and showers, dish washing station, dump, potable water, RV/vehicle wash station, air pump. FOY is an experience, kinda like Pleasantville with all the amenities. This place has a lot going for it and is a unique experience in the RV park world. Here is a list of both pros and cons as we see it:PROSAMAZING AMENITIES: just about every activity that you can ask for and good equipment/facilities for it. While we were there we took advantage of the hiking group (two levels available), billiards, pickle ball, swimming daily (two pools), hot tubs (4, I think - might be missing one), farmers market on site, fitness club, shuffleboard, mahj game night, FOY's got talent night, craft fair, and an excellent blues band that performed to a full house. There are so many more things to do. There is no time to be bored.FRIENDLY PEOPLE: this goes for the staff and those who live or stay here. People wave. Conversations happen easily. Others are quick to help. It is easy to make friends and strike up good conversations. If community is a priority for you, then this would be a great place to consider as people return here year after year and many have bought homes here.WEATHER: perfectly sunny and warm every day. There were a couple of big wind days but otherwise you can pretty much count on good weather.ORGANIZED AND CLEAN: Staff and office, organization of events, everything is well run. Everything is well taken care of and kept clean. They also didn't scrimp on equipment. Excellent billiard tables, shuffleboard tables, tennis/pickeball courts. Best equipped fitness room that I've been in while RVing.SKI IN DIVE BAR IS CLOSE: The only thing worth checking out in the area is the Ski-In Dive Bar at Bombay Beach which is a 7 minute drive and rated one of the US's best dive bars. It's a riot and owned by a wonderful ol guy that we had a great down-to-earth, intelligent conversation with. If you like a place with character check this out. They make a great lemonade and apparently if you go on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, the chef is in house and the food is good.CONSLOCATION: One of the reasons that they need to have such great amenities is to keep people happy and not in need of travelling too far. There is nothing around here. Groceries, restaurants, good hiking (by our standards) are all mostly an hour or more away. (Other than the bar mentioned above).HIKING AND BIKING AREN'T CLOSE AT HAND: If you are like us and like to both road cycle and hike, the closest hiking is in Painted Rock Canyon about an hour away. Biking is essentially non-existent except for some riding around FOY village. I met a guy who is a mountain biker however and he liked what he could get to right from the resort grounds so you might have more options with bigger more tolerant wheels. Also a friend we met likes riding on the highway which is mostly quiet.SCENERY IS OKAY TO BLAH: This is not one of the prettiest areas of California or even for a desert landscape. There are mountains around which is nice but otherwise, it is mildly attractive at best. The RV sites are routine park sites with nothing adorning unless someone adds decor to their personal site.

Starting with the front desk, everyone here has been exceedingly friendly and happy (it must be the water!). They have activities, jam sessions, concerts, etc going all the time, every day as well as two pools and several spas. If you can’t find something to do here, its your own fault. Good thing because truthfully there’s not much going on close by although you are within an hour of Indio or Brawley. If you’re looking for grass lawns this isn’t your place either but then you probably shouldn’t be in the middle of a desert. People come here year after year for a reason. They have an RV/Car Wash station ($1/four minutes) which was welcome after 22 days on the road and a free dog wash station with commercial hair drier which was just as appreciated! Hint: If you’re here on Friday, go to the American Legion Hall in Bombay Beach for one of the better steaks you will find anywhere - all for $15 complete with dessert!

Here are the Pros and Cons of this park:Pros: I guess the one thing that stands out in this park are the people. They are very friendly and engaging (from the Staff (Rita is my favorite) to the rvers (mostly from BC). They had many varied activities (from bocce ball, card games, swimming classes, etc), a twice-a-week farmer's market, restaurant and small convenience store. Also, as a dog owner I am always evaluating the dog parks and the cleanliness of the dog areas. Their dog park was nice and big (but only one in park) and I was very surprised that the dog owners truly picked up their dogs waste (the park also provided dog poo bags). The mineral hot tubs, swimming pools, and private soaking tubs were included in the daily rate (as are all amenities). Very nice, clean shower facilities and the laundromat was awesome (new, numerous and clean; they even had commercial sized machines). This park is out in the desert near to the Salton Sea (but since it is on the east side of the sea you cant smell the sea). AVTing in the area too.Cons: An Adult community (55+), and due to its remoteness you would need a car to get around (nearest full size grocery store is in Niland).
