It was expensive, but our good friends have a park model there and so we wanted to be close to them. I called in December 2020 for a spot for 5 nights in March 2021 and was told then they were only taking reservations for monthly stays, but to call back in January to see if that policy had changed. I called on February 22, 2021 and was told that it had not.The funny thing is, our friends who live there tell me that the park is half empty due to Canadians unable to travel this year because of the closed border. At first I thought, well...its because of COVID and they don't want short term transients in there leaving the virus. However, that doesn't make any sense as residents are renting their park models out on a weekend basis to whoever. The park is under new management, and its changed hands a few times in the past 3 years that we have been coming. They may not understand how 5 nights at $60 a night is more revenue for them than 5 nights at $0.Also, some of the sites along the fence are challenging to get into as they are old park model sites with water on one side and power and sewer on the other. Plus, big rigs parked across the narrow street make it even more challenging for trailers. The pool is very nice, its salt water and heated. Also, the laundry is large.

The facility is well managed and the staff has been very helpful, especially when we needed to extend our stay from one week to a full month to allow for some unplanned appointments. They even credited what we had already paid towards a relatively short stay towards the monthly rate when we decided we had to stay longer. The sites are a bit small and most will not accommodate a rig longer than 40 feet. We were in amongst the park models so we had a big “slab” of a wall on our camp side. While this provides for a very ugly view, it does provide for a lot more privacy than one usually gets in a private RV park. The clubhouse has all of the required amenities in terms of a pool, hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts, game, card and puzzle room as well as a rock shop and ceramic area with a kiln. While there are plenty of short term visitors, the majority of the guests are seasonal snowbirds so there are plenty of organized activities and clubs. The site is located quite a ways back from the adjacent main road so it is very quiet by any urban standards. There are no highways or train tracks within hearing distance. The only intrusion on our peaceful enjoyment is the occasional military overflight from nearby Davis Monthan AFB. But the park is not located on any of the approach or departure alleys of either Davis Monthan or Tucson’s commercial airport so flights are very limited. Both Verizon and AT&T voice and cell data were excellent as is to be expected in an urban environment. The indicated rate is the daily rate. Our monthly rate was in the mid $700 range plus electric.
Recently bought by Cal-Am and improvements are on the way.

The trail goes under major roads which adds safety.
