Eagle RV Park is about 5 minutes from the center of town and is also neighbors with the local whitewater rafting company. A short walk and you're there. The campground is small, but larger rigs can maneuver without trouble. Sites are small but ample. My 35' coach filled our site end-to-end. Our car was parked across the lane in front of us, so no issue there. The hookup pedestals and sewer dump require long runs and are unfortunately located right next to your neighbors picnic table. Be courteous to your neighbor and don't dump while they're eating dinner. The park is filled with tall shady trees which may cause issues for you satellite TV folk. We prefer the shade, especially when the temps were running in the high 90's.The rafting company is right next door and has two-hour trips that float through the Wind River Canyon which are way fun and interesting. 20 miles out of town is Legend Rock, where you can see petroglyphs. In town are the famous hot springs where you can soak after a day of adventure. Don't miss the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and Museum. And no visit is complete without a cocktail at the Safari Lounge. My AT&T hotspot managed 8mbps download. Ample for streaming TV and everything else we do on the internet. When away from the hotspot our Consumer Cellular T-Mobile was consistently on LTE.

Had stayed for a nt traveling towards the Bighorns . Based on other reviews,I know it was the best in town . Owner gave me my choice of 3 sites . Not enough room to park your TV . Pretty tight sites . Older , small campground , but the owners are working hard and go out of their way to help anyone . Didn't use any facilities .
Great place but only used the dump

Very friendly. Lots of shade trees. For a commercial RV park, plenty of space between sites. Sites have a dump valve in the middle and at the end. Very clean campground. Dump fee was $5

The grounds are immaculate, nice playground for the kiddos, gas grills for campers' use. The sites are a bit small because it was built when rigs were not so large. The restrooms were spotless even though we stayed over a holiday weekend and the park was full. There were a couple long-term residents but never saw them. The owners were constantly cleaning, maintaining the park and are a prime example of how a park should be run. We'd definitely stay again next time we are in Thermopolis! The park could use a fenced dog run and the owners said they are putting one in. The park is about 3 miles from the hot springs.

I have to say we were disappointed in Thermopolis, though. NOT a dog-friendly area and we travel with two German Shepherds. Even the brew pub which has beers we both liked did not allow dogs, even outside. Being from Colorado that was a bit of a WTF moment. Lots to do around the area with the petroglyph site, the river, the hot springs, the distillery and probably more we did not even hear about. The town itself seems to be on hard times which was a bit depressing to see and it looks like it’s not just a COVID 2020 thing.

DO NOT camp here if you want to sit around a camp fire and enjoy time with friends and family. Quiet time starts at 10:00pm and boy does this place shut down! We were cleaning up and putting out our campfire at 9:50pm and another guest came over and yelled at us for being too loud. It wasn’t even 10pm yet! We were so turned off by this. I think a large problem is everything is sooooo tight and RV’s are on top of each other. There is no privacy here. Not only are guests rude, but the staff are rude too. The younger woman who works there was uninterested and rude during check in and check out. One morning we went to the office to try out their free coffee. The office opens at 8:00am. We stopped by at 8:45am. The office door was closed with no sign. We knocked and even peered through the window. No one was in there. We look over towards the grill area and we see the young woman sitting there just watching us. She didn’t even get up to see what we needed. She just ignored us. The next morning, she is speeding through the RV park on her 4 wheeler at 7:30am! They are so strict with quiet hours being 10pm-8am, yet she’s speeding through the park on her super loud 4 wheeler waking everyone up. Thermopolis is super cool, but we won’t be returning to this RV park.
Pleasantly surprised!!

Not going to work for us!I called Eagle RV at about 4 in the afternoon and they were full, other than a 30 Amp overflow space. She told me I could come check it out and see if we could make it work. So, we did and she was delightful and remarkably accommodating! We are parked in the parking lot in front of the office, but in reality, it worked out great! Then I also found out, after much consternation, that the brand new 30 amp to 50 amp dogbone convertor I had, was wired wrong and only powered half our RV! Lo and behold they had one in their store and she said, take it and see if it works! I did and it did and it cost LESS then what I had paid for the bad one on Amazon.Verizon here is average and the WIFI is as well, but it works well enough for us to work, which is the key.She saved our bacon twice. Anyway, it is a very nice park. The spots are a little tight, but they are all shaded and the grounds are kept up very nicely. We would definitely stay here again!

Dood ( yep, that's his name) is extremely helpful in most anything you need. We couldn't figure out the cable TV and he came to "educate" us. He is the hardest working young adult I've met. When he is not helping others he is mowing the lawn or other park responsibilities. They are compassionate, too. A vet came in, asking for a place to stay as they had traveled very far and just too tired to continue. The park management found a place for them even tho the park was full. The park is gravel with a little grass. many trees so its hard to get a satellite connection.Nice, clean bathroom/showers and laundry. DVDs available to borrow, no charge. No pool but they offer tubing down the Big Horn River. We were here 2 nights with our 36' 5th wheel. Spots are wide enough for slide outs. Wifi is excellent. Full hookups.Thank you, Dennis, Kristine, and Dood for providing a wonderful glamping experience

Spent 2 nights here. The sites are small and close together but very quiet at night. Easy check in. Very clean laundry room. Not a lot of places to walk our dog. Town is close by and river is across the street but I don’t know if you can access the river. Lots of trees and shade. The park seems to attract a lot of overnight guests.

Cable worked well but unable to connect to satellite. Didn't check laundry or showers, but they have both. Small, safe looking, playground. Right on the highway but very quiet at night. Fairly level sites, Four small cabins. Needs ground maintenance - junk vehicles and trailers take away from the beauty. Knock down the weeds and repair the leaking hoses. Nice staff. Eat at the Thermopolis Cafe or the One-Eyed Buffalo - both are good. Park WiFi didn't work for us.

I have stayed here two summers when in Wyoming. Love the size of the park as it is small and it has great trees for shade. The owner is very nice. The sites are close but everyone is nice. I love the pull thru set up for those of us who do not back up a Class A. Can't wait to stay here again
