Owners John and Mary were kind at check-in and they allowed us to choose north-facing pull through full hookup site #41. Be forewarned that all of the sites are on hard clay dirt with grassy patches and there are tons of spiky painful burs. Do not walk around barefoot! This campground is incredibly quiet. The free wifi was decent and it worked great in our coach. My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot wifi was functional. The main building has a large library and puzzle room. Not a lot of activities due to Covid but we did participate in the optional Saturday night dinner. Portions were huge and a good deal at only $8.00/person. Clean restrooms and showers. Large laundry room with lots of machines and reasonable prices at only $1.50 to wash and $1.25 to dry. A reverse osmosis water spigot is also available behind the main building. Guests are welcome to fill up 1 gallon bottles free of charge and the water quality is amazing. So cool! Make sure to stop by Los Venados Country Store during your stay as they have excellent burgers.
