We stayed here numerous times when our daughter was going to A&M in College Station. It is a nice park, all asphalt with concrete sites. There are no picnic tables, or bbq pits, no camp fires. This is more for Rving, than for "camping". The man who runs the place has always been nice to us. They also have a small swimming pool.

The sites are well appointed, but getting into the park can be burdensome. Yadda yadda yadda. Then, Holiday RV Park gave me a gift in Texan wrapping paper: a real life RV park cowboy! As I sit here typing, I am being treated to a cowboy roping show - fake steer target and all - a few rigs down from us. I am so tempted to mark this park as THE BEST PARK EVER due solely to this occurrence. God bless Texas. But, I can't give the park 5 stars. Even with the cowboy roping show, or the friendly staff. It's just plain loud here. You're encircled by 3 busy roads - one being a 4 lane highway. The road noise is notable. The park is also a bit difficult to access (make sure to call ahead to get directions to access the park or you might be pulling a U-Turn) for big rigs. There isn't much to walk to from the park; you've got to go beneath the highway and into a housing development to find sidewalks that will lead you to A&M, the heart of which is about a mile away. Typical RV park accommodations - levelish sites, about 20ft between you and your neighbor, concrete pads, well placed hook-ups (50A/30A, H2O, sewer), and small pool which was still open in November. The park WiFi is not good. But, the cowboy and friendly staff are definite highlights.

The resort's proximity to the Texas A&M Campus is its biggest draw, and why we selected it.To arrive at the campground, you have to be going Southeast on Harvey Mitchell and exit onto the frontage road (look for a sign that says "Local Access"). You can't approach from the other direction. If you aren't familiar with the area, I would call park office and ask for directions.Check in was smooth and quick. The gentleman on duty was very friendly and showed us to our site. All the sites have concrete pads and full hookups. The sites set aside for short term stays are pull through. The park grounds are grassy and meticulously kept up. We had hit a swarm of "Love Bugs" while driving to College Station. The staff allowed us to scrub the front of the RV to get them off. That was appreciated. There was WiFi that worked for email, etc. But we didn't use it much, instead relying on our Verizon Jetpack that worked well. There were plenty of OTA stations for Television. There is cable available, but I believe you have to pay to rent a set top box while staying there.Because you are next to the highway, there is some road noise. But it did not bother us.The pools opens May 1. We were there on April 27 when it was 90 degrees out. Then owner generously opened the pool early for us. The pool was unheated, so the water was refreshing. There are some long term residents in the park. But you had to look hard to realize they were long term. The sites were very neat and tidy.We were there in April and didn't have any trouble getting a spot. You can bet that on a football weekend, if you don't have reservations way in advance you are out of luck.We would definitely stay here again. The ready access to our daughter was wonderful.
