Staff is very friendly and helpful. Arrived without a reservation, they gave us a nice shady site. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Several persons were enjoying the swimming pool. Would definitely stay again.
Absolute dump!

What an over priced cruddy campground, if you can even call it that. Sites are over grown with weeds. No clearly defined sites, super crammed together. You can literally touch the rig next to you. Very few picnic tables or fire pits. Bathhouse is in need of a serious renovation as well as the entire grounds. You can literally touch the rig next to you. Very few picnic tables or fire pits. Bathhouse is in need of a serious renovation as well as the entire grounds. Cold showers no hot water. Pool drained and appeared to need repairs. Right next to highway so you can hear the road noise. The lodge looks like something out of the movie psycho think Bates hotel. Better off finding some BLM land to boondock on
Great location a little highway noise at times

The park is pretty small but has lots of tent sites. The pool was still open and looked nice although too cold to use, in my opinion. The manager was very helpful and lived in the park so any issues could be resolved quickly. I didn't use the bath house but there were 2 washers and 2 dryers in the laundry room (takes quarters, 1.50 each w/d per load) one dryer was broke and the other didn't dry my clothes enough so I had to line-dry the heavy items. The location was great, right at the eastern entrance to the Badlands National Park and across the highway from the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site; worth the visit if you have time (free unless you visit the museum).
Lots of positives and two big negatives

The park is very conveniently located just off the expressway with little noise. It is also just a stones throw from the National Park. Washer/Dryer was old but efficient. WiFi service was great for working. The downside, spots were unusual as one RV parked facing north and the next would face south. This would leave you facing right at your neighbor. Spots were tight so if you put out your patio mat it would be utilized by your neighbors stepping out of their RV. Lastly we also shared the same picnic table. In a pandemic that is definitely not a good idea. Currently appears new owners are cleaning the place up.
Can NOT recommend.

We were in site 29 and the utilities were at the front of the site but luckily we had an extension cord and extra water hose. As long as it was just us on the row we could run the air conditioner with everything else off and the refrigerator on propane. As soon as two campers hooked up next to us, however, our power blew with only the air conditioner on. We wound up having to use our generator to be able to run anything after that. We went over to apologize for the noise to our RV neighbor and he said he was having the same problem. I spoke to a lady in the office and she blamed it on everything from our surge protector being defective (we use it every time, at every campground) to us trying to run everything in the camper at the same time, as if this was our first time out. Never mind the guy next to us was having the exact same problem. We were told we probably were not hooked up to their electricity at all (silly because our air conditioner was running at one point ) so they were going to just charge us for a non-electric site. The bathrooms were in pretty rough condition but I had a pretty good shower (plenty of warm water and good pressure) in the ladies room. On the men’s side though my husband did not have such luck. The pool was empty of water and not in use.
Poor facilities, but otherwise OK.

This place is now called "Minute Man" RV and Motel. The toilets and showers are a little grim, it looks like they just add a coat of paint each year, several 9f the showers have out of order on the door. Sites are grass and roughly level. WIFI worked well , probably because there were not many people here. There was a pool here once!

Couldn't tell if it was reserved, if it was one site or two, etc.No idea about the bathrooms, but if they were anything like the rest of the facilities they probably aren't worth trying. Next time, we will stay in the dispersed camping in Buffalo Gap or in Wall, rather than stop here.
Not bad, especially in the off season... but no bathroom

It was a step up from the group loop, for sure. Because it wasn't actually open yet for the season, it was dry camping only. This meant no bathroom. Water did come out of the spigot, located at the site, which was surprising. This property, which also has a motel and restaurant, is managed by Forevermore Resorts. The info the person gave me on the phone when I called regarding the campground, was incorrect, so I wouldn't trust them when calling again. The site we picked was perfectly level, no blocks needed. The grounds themselves were very trashy looking, probably because no one was there all winter maintaining it. There were only 4 others camping the night we were there (March 31, 2017), one being tent campers that were super loud. Thankfully, around 11:00 pm, it started pouring and they must have retreated back to their tent, not to be heard from again. One major plus, was the free wifi, no code needed. So far, South Dakota has had the best Internet compared, to all the other states we've been through. There was a Conaco gas station across the street, but that's it. We would stay here again, in the off season. Not great, but not bad.
