After dry camping for eight days this was a good place to clean up and relax once again. Hard to beat the location and, good wifi. Minute man and wall drugs close and worth visiting. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

I could not get site with power at NP, a necessity with 90+ temp and a over heating dog. Only a mile from NP boundary with more amenities and lower cost than cedar pass campground. Small store and gas station 100yds away. What's not to love? Used wifi.

  • I really enjoyed my stay.

The staff was courteous and knowledgeable about location and weather conditions. They did serve a cafe type breakfast, and the nearby grocery held your basic needs. Had an above-ground pool to ease you tension after a day of prairie dogs, big horn sheep, buffalo, horses, and incredible rock structures. I guess, I could find a negative: but, if I wanted to do that "WHY LEAVE HOME?" Wi-Fi was good in the daytime; it did get a bit cluttered at night when everyone returned from the day of "playing tourist." I used my 'hotspot" for carefree coverage.I will definitely visit here again.

You’ll have a great view of the Badlands from your site, and it’s only a 5 minute drive into the National Park and to most of its attractions. The location is unbeatable and if you can get a spot at this campground, you should. But you should have very low expectations for your site and for campground management. When we arrived at the campground and were checking in, they tried to charge us for more than what was on our confirmation email when we made our reservation a few months earlier. They said that they changed our site and the price went up for the full hookup site that they upgraded us to. We had never requested this upgrade and we were totally fine without full hookups since only staying a few nights. They were very reluctant to honor the price that was on our confirmation email, it took some reasoning with them. When we finally get to the new site they changed us to, we were extremely disappointed. The section of the park that they moved us to was all gravel (no trees, no grass) and had only a few feet between the sites on either side of us. Since they were full hookup sites, our camper and our picnic table were just a few feet from our neighbors sewer hose. Some people might be okay with this setup but we specifically spend a lot of time researching campgrounds and sites to ensure we have enough privacy, shade, and grass for our dog. The site we were originally supposed to have had grass on either side of it and more room between sites. Since we were so disappointed with our site and had never requested this change, we asked management if there was any chance they could move us to the grassy portion of the campground since there were still many sites open. They said no and were extremely unapologetic. The owner essentially blamed us for booking a site that was 50 amps when we have a 30 amp camper for the reason as to why he had to move us, which makes no sense because they moved us to another 50 amp site. If he had apologized and said there was nothing they could do for us, we would have been okay with that, but the attitude the owner gave us was upsetting. We had about 3 bars of service with Verizon. GoogleFi also worked here but we can’t remember how many bars. The tent sites are really nice. They’re in a field of grass and have an incredible view.

Nice to have full hookup for a relatively low price. Spaces are tight but we are here to visit the park and surrounding area. Plenty to do away from the rig. Never went in the bathrooms. My husband said they were fine. Nice neighbors and office staff.

Descent enough park as I’m there to see and hike badlands. Used the laundry room with no issues. Castle trail and medicine root make for a nice hike ( eight miles combined ). Great time of year to experience badlands.

(Dump station was an additional fee if you were not camping there and just needed to dump or fill). There was a laundry facility and bathhouse. We didn't use the bathhouse, but the laundry worked great. We were able to do several full loads. CELL SERVICE/INTERNET: We worked the entire week with no issues. We did have 4 bars of LTE on our Verizon phone and we were able to stream tv no problem using a T-Mobile Peplink router and booster. There was campground wifi, the signal was the strongest the closest you were to the bathroom/office. I didn't use it to work, it was really slow. But I'm sure it's good enough to get some work done/check emails if needed.PROS: Literally sitting outside of the Badlands entrance gate. It was about 1.5 miles to the gate and the campground backs right up to beautiful views. Cedar Pass Campground is inside of Badlands and we were debating on that one or Badlands Interior Campground and we decided to stay here instead. And I am glad we did because they were one of the few places that had full hook ups year round (it snowed while we were there). Cedar Pass Campground was electric only, I believe, and for the price difference and the full hook ups, you really didn't have to sacrifice view or location. It was big rig friendly. Saw plenty of class As and big 5th wheels. Accommodated our 36 ft. 5th wheel with ease. CONS: As others stated, it was somewhat "dumpy" but I think for the price, view, location and amenities, it was all around worth it. Sites were pretty close together. There's literally nothing around, make sure you go to the grocery store before you arrive!

If not for the location I would not recommend this campground. Very tight, lots of run down structures, and a bit gruff at the front desk. Having full hookups at this location was great though. Practically in the park.

Private CG that has some trees . Bathroom ok . Good wifi in office area . Good view of Badlands. Staff helpful. Flat sites . There are not a lot of CG in area so this worked well for us . Close to Badlands NP visitors center with close by hiking . Typical private CG open sites that are fairly close together.

Our site RV16 was set up goofy. Our electric (shared post with site RV15) was on one side and the water (shared spigot with RV23) was on the other side of the site. The way we had to pull in to make our hookups reach left the water spigot directly in front of our door...like watch out for it when we walked down our steps in front of our door. This also meant we shared the same small grass patch as the other camper on site 23. The swimming pool on their map was also in the process of being torn out and filled in. WiFi worked pretty well. Worked for the 2 days we were there to see Badlands NP, but certainly unconventional setup.

We were on an end spot so the view was perfect. sites are tight together but manageable, could use another 5ft of separation. Camp WiFi was weak even when boosted about 2 MBps. Verizon signal was week, used a directional window antenna to the east on the jetpack and got 10-15 MBps. we both worked a full day and I had a video conference call that went great. Zero TV stations. Didn't use the facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Went to Badlands Grocery to find dog food. Found it, store had what you needed in a pinch, stocked but limited.Sunrise and sunset were perfection.

A very peaceful and restful RV park. The electrical for our site is 30 amp only, but it wasn't a problem for us. The only reason I gave the site quality a four star is due to the gravel drive in. This may be necessary because of the harsh winters and frost heaves or perhaps the excessive summer heat.

Site 31 is a prime spot because you are near the back of the campground and have unobstructed views of the Badlands NP! Gravel pads with little grassy spots made for level parking and a nice morning yoga spot. The sites are fairly close together but during my stay in September, it was never full. I also found that most people were only here for 1 or maybe 2 nights. Free wifi, although sometimes spotty on my phone, never had a problem with connecting on my laptop though. The cell service was occasionally spotty too, but never had problems making phone calls. The bathrooms here were well-maintained and good hot water in the showers. The office also has a small store and small restaurant for breakfast and dinner (Th-M). I didn't eat there so I can't vouch for the food quality. The walk into the tiny town of Interior is about 10 minutes. There is a bar, gas station, post office, and a small grocery store. It is about 2 miles from the Badlands NP entrance, not really walkable cause it is the highway but a very quick drive. The sunrises, sunsets, and stars here are amazing! I would definitely return to this location!
