Off season so no water yet but, walking distance to anything deadwood. Easy access to camp sites and dump station. Thank you days of 76. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

Wonderful spot. Friendly, helpful host. Clean and easily accessible showers, restrooms. Washer/dryer on site. Quiet. Trolley pickup from campsite, but totally walkable.Definitely recommend! This town is like a mini Las Vegas, so more adult oriented.
Friendly folks

We boondocked here for 2 nights. The sites were level and most were open (no trees) for our solar. The office staff were very friendly and helpful for area advice and attractions. Even provided us a coupon for one of the museums. They do also have sites with water and electric. Dump is available on site too.

OK, so it is a gravel parking lot with hookups... but the hosts were awesome! Bent over backwards to help us with our receipt since it had to be perfect for the DMV since we were becoming SD residents. Sites are level and the campground is located directly behind the must see Days of 76 Museum right at the edge of town. It’s a 10 minute walk to historic Main Street and there’s a trolley that comes right to the campground every 30 min. A few areas for the dogs to wander, but not great for them. There is also a dump station at the entrance. Just a side note, beware - most of the slot machines in town tend to take more than they give... at least that’s what we experienced. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice bathroom/ shower facilites and a laundry room. If you want to visit Deadwood, this is the place to camp. They have the cheapest rates around. There is trolly that will take you to town every 30 mins ($1.00 per rider) or you can just walk 20 mins to downtown. Check in was easy and the ladies at the front office were very friendly. The sites are level enough and there is plenty of space for big rigs. We were here during a holiday weekend and we were packed in pretty tight, with minimal space between the rigs, however we were out exploring the area most of the time so it didn't bother us. During the week, the lot cleared out and we mostly had the place to ourselves. There is some noise during the week as there are a lot of trucks coming a going to the business located next to the lot, but nothing too bothersome. We will stay again when we come back through Deadwood.

Across the street from the campground is a large gravel area next to a stream, where a semi was already parked. We spent 2 nights there, parked across from the free city dump station. We walked around the campground. Sites appear fairly level, and enough space for big rigs. Not much in the way of trees. I’m sure this place is packed when the rodeo is in town. We got very good Verizon cell coverage.
