Then some dogs 2 campsites down went nuts, for about an hour. Back to reality... as this is a very tight small campground. Be careful of what site you choose. The folks next to us were so close their chair was over our sewer hose at times. ... and the guy on the other side of us had his slide out over the top of our picnic table. Yep, no cell service. They offer free wifi that you might get connected for a minute or two. We bought the *premium* wifi as we need persistent connectivity. The premium service would kick us off a little less often and had .5 mb (yes, 1/2 mb) download speed. Reality check.... .5 mb download speed will not load a route in google maps on your phone. Wife had a zoom meeting.... so we had to hurry down the hill to get cell service. Of note, we got 3 bars of ATT at the bottom of the hill for 50 mb download speed. Day 3 of our 3 day premium wifi would not connect at all. So, bottom line, if you need connectivity - look elsewhere.

Small park, very shady with little sun, the roads are narrow and there is not much room to manuever your RV. Very windy road to get here (you will not want to drive it with your RV): in fact it is posted "NO TRUCKS WITH 3+ AXLES. If you have to cancel or change your reservation they keep all your money. Go somewhere else.

Beautiful and immaculate campground. I didn’t give it 5 stars because there is no cellphone signal and the internet is very slow especially at night . We paid the extra $5 to upgrade the internet and it didn’t make a difference.

  • Very clean park. Kind of tight to get into some of the sites and may require a spotter.

The wifi in the park is good enough for email and maybe some facebook. Bring plenty of coax cable, some of the posts are far back (site #15 for example) and I couldnt connect to cable.

Interesting twist to have 3 rental Yurts but it fit the vibe of the campground well.We booked on short noticed and therefore stayed in site 33 which was the only one available. It's clearly the least of the sites, rather than backing up to a beautiful mountain stream, you back up to the road. It wasn't a problem but you miss out on one of the greatest features of this campground from this site. Be sure to ask about the trout that hang out by site 6, it's quite a sight!Free wifi worked great the whole time, not enough to stream video or work, but more than adequate for staying connected. No AT&T cell service at all. Firewood for sale, $8/bundle and you really need at least 2-3 for one evenings fire.Blue Ridge Parkway is right there with easy access to Mt Mitchell. We also visited Toms Creek Falls which was a super easy 1/2 mile walk with an 80ft waterfall reward at the end, highly recommended.

The sites are tight but the Park is beautifully landscaped. Very peaceful listening to the creek and sitting by a fire. Close to Mount Mitchell and the Blue Ridge Parkway. While there a camper side swiped a tree. Need to be very careful through this park. No service at all here and the WiFi seemed to always cut off around 6:00 pm.

We stayed in site 20...best one in the park. Great little decks built by the waters edge. Clean and quiet. Bathrooms were clean with hot showers. About 4 miles of curvy roads to get there, but at least it’s doable. We will be back!! Highly recommend hiking to Crabtree Falls nearby.

Really aggressive turns and switchbacks for 6 miles prior to getting to park. Really pretty when you get their as described but the six miles leading up to the site has sharp turns and in trimmed foliage. First major scratches in 10 years of class A driving, ugh. Small park and tight sites. Clean park and beautiful on fast moving stream. The water is noisey but some people might find that relaxing. Owners are very nice! Drive in is a little treacherous so be careful and watch for low trees. I would stay here again if needed but I prefer more space between neighbors.

Things are very well landscaped and I really believe lots of thought was placed on various lifestyles. There is an enclosed area for pets and many other things within the small loop. Arrived two days after Labor Day and things have probably calmed a bit. The one thing cool they are doing is offering a couple of campers for rent as well as Yurts. What I really loved was being on the creek and hearing the water flow, it was very soothing and within view of camper windows. Also Ted seem easily accessible and many offer shrubbery between sites. Overall it’s tastefully done and I plan to return many more times!!!

Lost of adults, just a few children. We really liked the community BBQ on Saturday night and loved that we could watch UNC baseball on the big screen TV. The campground is also close to excellent mountain biking In Pisgah and the town of Old Fort which was our primary reason for staying here. Lastly we ran into old friends who also just bought an airstream. We will be back!
