Her CC machine did not work, so I wrote a check for the $28 (good sam discount). She pretty much said park anywhere, there were only a handful of folks there for a horse event. We could hear racing over on the other side of the complex, but we did not unhook to go explore. We backed in at an angle, probably taking up 2-3 "spaces", so we did not stick out since we stayed hooked up to the truck. The utilities are in the middle, between the rows. We needed water and sewer extensions to reach; fortunately the electrical was ok with our standard cord. We stopped in town at the Albertsons to get some food and also fuelled up since the even complex is on the north side of town. We just cooked a simple skillet meal in the trailer and then streamed a movie on Netflix. There is a cell site nearby so our Cradlepoint performed great. Is it fancy? No. But it's a good place to dump the tanks and top off the freshwater on the way to boondock in one of the national parks. Would I stay there again? Probably, but if there was a more direct route to Grand Teton I might explore that next time. We basically drove across the southern end of Wyoming from Golden; the scenery is not very exciting.

The caretaker is so sweet, if you are on the receiving end of sweet and unknowlegeable, it is just a bad night. Huge gravel parking lot, utilities are the wierdest placement in 10 yrs of rving. You will probably need extensions and the sewer is above ground of the units. Have fun with that when it is 98. Big discussion about the restaurant and when it opened, according to google and the caretaker, it was to be opened. Walked a mile in the heat only to find it closed. Watched dozens of rvs pull in and leave, wish that would have been an option for me.

Close to I-80 too. There isn't a number to make reservations, just go up Yellowstone Road and turn in the next road after the main entrance. Follow the signs to the Caretaker's Residence, a nice older man living in a little oasis of a house amid the huge expanse of gravelled/treeless lots. Cash or check. He said "take your pick" and the first one I tried, the electric didn't work. The second one, the water came out like a trickle. The third, both worked fine. These lots are meant for people who attend huge equestrian or motocross events and so really aren't maintained as a going private RV park. But they're clean enough. I have 2 dogs and they were pining for some grass, of which there was none. Only gravel, dirt, and pavement. During the afternoon (August) it got extremely hot and the coach's air couldn't keep up. Evening/mornings were cool and things were fine. A few other campers here in a variety of rigs, very quiet, kept to themselves. I was very appreciative to find this place on campendium, it's a safe and clean place to stay the night.

The caretaker is extremely friendly and everyone we encountered were helpful as well. We were not crazy about how the sites are ‘fenced in’ but we made it work. We had to borrow a splitter to have water the 1st night and had to buy a sewer extension hose so we could dump (we only had one). There is free wifi, 30/50amp, water & sewer. It is not a campground that you would want to hang out in but it served our needs. Flaming Gorge is a must see in the area, Fremont Lake in Pinedale and there are many things to see and do in Rock Springs & Green River. We would stay again.

Plenty of hot water and great pressure in the shower. To check in with the caretaker, look for the doorbell near the gate of the fence by the driveway. The dogs will announce your arrival and the sweet caretaker will be ready with her receipt book. There is a gas station visible from the grounds.

All sites are three way (W/E/S) fairly level but fairly close together. This is basically a large gravelled area. Be aware that the placement of the sewer hookups was not designed by anyone with any RV experience as they are way at the back of each site and even with our standard sewer hose plus a 15 foot extension we found that many sites would not work for us. Through trial and error we did find a site that worked so be persistent! The area is quiet (so long as there isn’t a noisy special event in process) and as such makes a great overnight spot when traveling on I-80. The other choice in town (the KOA) is right on the Interstate. The facility is about two or three miles off a freeway exit so using this for an overnighted is a breeze. Verizon was fast enough to stream video. The staff in the office and the maintenance folks were very friendly and accomodating. The campground “caretaker” was less so and was either having a bad day or needs to be reminded that his purpose in being here is to be helpful. Simply offerIng us to move (after we were all set up) or refund our money is not a helpful response to someone looking for a site with working water and an accessible sewer hookup. But his demeanor is not a reason to skip this place and chances are you won’t ever see or have to deal with him.

(By the way, I do NOT recommend the Toyota dealership in town). It was supposed to be hot that week so our priority was to find a place to stay with electric hook-ups. That plan almost backfired on us because they only have 50amp power and our trailer only uses 30amp. Walmart to the rescue.Other than that small issue, the campground was exactly what we expected - a gravel lot with hook-ups. There were no events at the time of our stay and only a half dozen other RVs in the lot. The onsite caretaker couldn't have been nicer. She told us that we were welcome to park sideways in one of the spots or take up more than one so we could reach the hook-ups. Good thing because they are positioned in such a way that you need long hoses and cords to reach. This is not the kind of place you stop at because you want to go "camping" but if you need a clean and (mostly) quiet spot right off I-80 with full hook-ups it should work. Also, $25/night is way cheaper than the KOA on the other side of town.

It's basically a giant dirt/gravel parking lot with fences separating each site, and a fence behind each site with shared utility hookups behind the fence. We arrived on a Friday which means events were happening at the fairgrounds (high school rodeo finals, and stock car race). The friendly caretaker took our money, pointed us to the north-west corner and said there should be a few empty spaces left in that area. We found some, but the campground was nearly full and was a mess with RVs, horse trailers, pickup trucks, ATVs, and more parked randomly all over. Despite the number of campers there, noise was minimal. We backed into a site (with our 37' motorhome sticking out into the lane) and had nowhere to put our tow car other than in the empty site next to us (several folks parked their longer rigs diagonally across two sites). The dirt roads had large ruts in them where they met the main campground road, which required some extra care when pulling out. Since the whole campground area is just gravel we found a grassy area around the main fairgrounds parking lot for our dog walks. Verizon worked pretty well, AT&T was slow. This was an OK spot for an overnight, but we may have actually been more comfortable in the nearby Walmart parking lot for the night. Clearly the RV sites exist primarily to serve the rodeo participants and not travelers, so I understand the shortcomings of the location. I expect when events aren't happening and the campground is less crowded it is be a more reasonable spot for an overnight stop.
