Very expensive for what you get. Location is literally the only thing going for this place. Roads through the park are the worst I’ve seen.

Definitely a busy location though. I found a hunk of metal in our 5ers tire and asked to change it out in the slot we were parked in for the water and we were denied. That sucked only because we had to drive on the flat tire out to the main road to parallel park on a busy street.

Clean place, nice hot showers, laundry service, and WiFi- one of the cheapest RV park options I found and everyone was friendly I wouldn’t call Jackson Hole camper-friendly. Everything is either completely booked or out of my price range. I had little choice due to truck troubles so I needed a place in town.

The site also does not allow open fires - that is apparently prohibited within city limits. The back-in sites on the Far East side of the site had charcoal grills but most sites did not have that, either. On the plus side, it was very clean, full hook-ups worked great, staff was very friendly, and the location is a great jumping off point for the Grand Teton and Yellowstone Park! These parks make the costs worth it! We were gone all day and just came back here to sleep.

I suppose you're paying the price for the location - this is not a luxury resort. The sites are not huge, but they have grass and small gravel. We stayed here in late July and it was busy, as to be expected. The laundry room in the campground was closed, so they pointed us to the hotel laundry room, which was dirty and old. They tried to first put us by the power station that borders the back of the campground, but I declined. Good thing as the station does make noise and I am sure the sites next to it can hear the humming. I'd stay here again only if visiting Jackson, and for a shorter stay. If you are into yoga, check out Jackson Hole Goat Yoga. They hold goat yoga sessions on Saturdays in a stunning setting!

We were lucky enough to get a spot with a shady tree as most spots are not shaded. Unfortunately however that tree had clover mites which made their way into our trailer immediately! Also they say that they have internet but I was barely able to load a website and that is super frustrating since I made sure to ask about their WiFi when I called because I was working remotely there! They need to get stronger WiFi that suites their large campsite and hotel or let people know that it is not reliable! This was the most expensive campground we stayed at and most of their facilities were closed due to COVID but they charged the same full rate! We had no choice as everything else was sold out, but it is super frustrating to pay so much for just a parking spot only! The bar that was on property was their best assets!

The NP is packed, everyone trying to escape COVID-19 restrictions. We pulled into town late and could not find a dry camping spot. The Virginian RV Park had one spot Left so we took it. Probably the most expensive option. The park was clean and staff friendly.

To begin with the campground is located in a mixed commercial/residential area and not really walking distance to downtown, especially with the main road under construction, so going in to town for dinner still requires getting in the car and finding a parking space. (If there was a shuttle I missed the memo.) Fortunately there are several nice restaurants outside of the downtown area which are convenient, including StillWest Brewery, which I recommend. A better location for exploring the Tetons would be Gros Ventre campground on the north side of Jackson. If you have plans to visit Yellowstone National Park, know that Jackson is still 55 miles from Yellowstone and another 40 or so from Old Faithful and the main Visitor Center, so if you're trying to make a day trip, as we did, it's a really long day. RV parks at the West Yellowstone, Montana, entrance are probably better situated for visiting Yellowstone NP than anything in Jackson.Nothing in the way of amenities. The showers and laundry at The Virginian were still closed (the commercial laundromat across the street is $4.50 a load.) The campground gave everyone a 10 percent discount off the day rate, but if you have one of the discount cards say they honor you should have gotten that anyway. RV sites are close together, consequently no campfires are allowed. Each site has a picnic table, but really there's no privacy.Friendly staff. We might come here again, but I would look for other options first. It didn't really feel like a good value.

I had prepared for the worse so I didn't think it was that bad or at least not bad compared to other private RV Parks or even some KOAs.. Although the price is heavy, it is convenient to anything in Jackson. The shuttle runs close by so need to even get in the car.

But unfriendly staff refused to move one coach beside us. Stating some ridiculous statement about reservations. Guess think we are stupid. They made a mistake but refused to fix even though they could. We have stayed at More than 29 sites this trip, all made around the same time, with no problem except this one. The owner needs to hire more competent people to handle reservations and when staff has screwed up, more accommodating staff to fix, after all people stay at sites where staff is friendly and eager to accommodate travelers!

You want to be able to walk a cool town, have a few too many beverages maybe, and not worry about driving home. So you choose the Virginian. Packed in like sardines, with a shuttle just outside of the park, you trade the roominess of Teton boondocking for the convenience of town. The shuttle will be done by the time you leave the bar, but the walk is doable (just over a mile). There's a very interesting bar in the Virginian (which is also a hotel), and it's surprisingly filled with locals. Much karaoke was had. We even saw parachuters jumping off of the mountain that towers above the park and separates it from the nearby ski resort. Getting from the park, through town and into the Tetons was a minimum 20 minute affair, sometimes more if it was a busy weekend. Staff was friendly, if a bit strict with their policies and at times overly watchful. There is a big power transformer just next door that, while not particularly noisy, was a little strange to have the kids by. Had AT&T and Verizon cell service but can't recall the specific number of bars.
