It is Wyoming, so there are some trees, but not a lot of shade. This upper section has 15 short back in sites and 19 pull through sites. FHUs at all sites. Restrooms and showers are in both sections; the laundry room is located in the lower section. We checked out the upper section restrooms and showers even though we are self-contained and they were fine. We had planned to use the laundry, but it was not clean and the washers were too costly, so we went into Green River and used a very clean, excellent public laundry instead. Sites are blacktop as are the roads in the campground. Each site has a picnic table. There is a dog park in the upper section. ATT and Verizon cell services were both good. The Wifi at the campground did not work the first two days we were here, but began working the third day. Not sure why but thankful for it. This area is very historic – many of the western trails went through the area and John Wesley Powell started his explorations from here. During 1869 and 1871, Powell explored the Green River, the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon, and Flaming Gorge. The latter is a great day trip from this campground. There is also a lot of mining and railroad history in the area. Campers who like history and geology would definitely enjoy staying in this area. We would return.

  • Washington Street is a few miles west of downtown next to the interstate (not downtown in the suburbs)

Getting here was very easy off I-80 but far enough away that I didn't hear much traffic. We're in a 36' travel trailer and the pull-through site was big enough that I didn't need to unhitch my rig. 22’ truck camper. On our way north in 90+ heat. Wanted electricity for AC. Agree w other reviewers except bathrooms were updated and very nice. WiFi was fine. Verizon service awful 1 bar. These cheaper tent sites back up to wood fence which walls off local road and interstate. No picnic table or grill.

There was an old iron BBQ, again, no big deal, we have our own. It is located right off the I80 but we didn't have a problem with freeway noise. The camp was otherwise super quiet and the girls in the office were very nice. WiFi was terrible. We had water, sewer and 30 amp electric, all of which were great. The site was all gravel. The bathrooms were kind of clean and are in desperate need of updating (i.e. formica peeling off the counters). It's right off the freeway and if you walk down to the end of the road you can see Green River which was beautiful. There is a gravel dog run.All in all, it's old and barren but, we were just travelling through and stayed for the night and it was cheap!!

Two big rigs with slides out would be close neighbors without room for any awnings. It was a clean park, though the checkin building could use a bit of updating/cleaning. No bathrooms at the checkin spot.Biggest ding for me was the Verizon coverage. I got 4 bars but the internet speed was horrible.Verizon 4 bars .92/1.23 Mbps down/upI tried my booster, no real improvement. Checked at dinner at one of the local restaurants and it was equally bad. Probably a poor phone/cable/fibre connection into Green River. Some train and highway noise.
