Train came through blowing its horn about 3 AM… Water is good so we loaded up. Heading out again for some wide open spaces…

Arrival was easy. Very shady spot since I was more than overnight.I could get on the internet if within 30 feet of the outdoor antennae. Would not connect when further away. No cable only a few tv channels. Great place to explore from. Reasonable rates. Not a pretty park but worked for what we wanted.

Other reviews talk about new ownership and efforts to upgrade the park. This park has looked the same for three years, or perhaps worse now. Grass and weeds not mowed, very few trees...just a gravel lot with weeds. I would stay at any of the other parks in town before staying here. The state park across the road is gorgeous!!

  • OK but over-priced

This place is apparently undergoing a change in management/ownership and therefore I believe upgrades are still in progress. I think the price reflects what it ought to be once they are finished. I think the price reflects what it ought to be once they are finished. If I were to come back to this area I would probably check out the other spots before staying here again. That being said, I would stay here again if it ended up being the best deal.Pros: The owner/manager is super friendly and helpful. The wifi is free and works well. Wasn't anywhere near full the entire time I was here. Laundry is free. Cell service (AT&T) is strong. Easy to get to and fairly level sites. Bathrooms and showers were pretty decent, nothing fancy.Cons: Not many trees/shade/privacy. Not so much curb appeal, it isn't exactly the nicest place to look out your window at. The train tracks are right next to the campground and it does pass through about as early as 6:30am and as late as 9:30pm.

The office staff/new owners were very friendly and helpful. We did not check out the bathrooms so we can’t verify if they were clean or not. The only ding I can really give this park is the train that runs right by it. It was fine during the day but the 5:30am train whistle was not enjoyable. If you don’t mind trains then this is a super nice park with excellent access to Moab. Reasonable rates and friendly people. Excellent Verizon service.

Not going to lie, if you are the tinniest bit sqwimish about cleanliness, the bathroom was a little scary. The wi-fi did not work for us, but we got great cell reception. Really enjoyed our experience at this camp spot.

Took one of the 4 new 50amp sites in the back corner. Very few people in the park, which was nice (for us, anyway). Quiet in the park. Bathrooms and showers clean (but old), with GREAT water pressure and lots of hot water. The park is under new management - new owners bought it this year. They have been making gradual improvements and more are planned including irrigation system for the grass and upgrade of all the sites to 50amp.The biggest drawbacks are the train tracks not too far away, and the trains that goes barrelling through town several times a night with horns blaring (I gues to warn that they are NOT slowing down). Of course, the trains are probably an issue for all the RV parks in town, although I think this one is closest to the tracks. The other issue, from our site, is that we were in the very back corner. On the other side of the fences were a horse paddock and, down the way a bit, a dog that barked rather incessently. The flies were an issue from the horses, I think --- but it may have just been that time of year. All in all, even with the drawbacks, I would come back here again.

I did pull in some over the air TV surprisingly as Green River is pretty remote. Convenient for on the way to getting to Moab area attractions.
