Never saw the owner/operator. No handout describing the park/facilities. WiFi found by my phone but would not connect. Right next to the train tracks.

When we arrived the owner/manager told me she likes to have reservations so that if people dont show up she an charge their credit card anyway! We stayed here one night and that was enough!!!!!! The owner/manager was very nice and friendly and the grounds are well kept. We arrived and she placed us in no# 4 which was fully in the sun on an unlevel site. As we were setting up, another RV came in and she put them in the shady level site with a picnic table :( After we managed to level up, we settled down for the night...thats when the trains started. The owner never mentioned the noise that would go on ALL NIGHT!!!! Every 1/2 hr a train would go past blasting theirs horns for the level crossing!!!!! ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! The acmpground is no more than 100 yards from the tracks so you can imagine the noise. The town of Fort Laramie is dying...no services at all. If we had of known the trains ran all night, we would have moved on. They also give you the password for the wifi...forget it...wifi was hopeless and no phone or hot spot signal T-Mobile or AT&T

It is next to the railroad tracks but I must be lucky since there hasn't been a train this afternoon. The tracks are usually heavy with coal trains from the open pit mines in Wyoming.Site was dead level. Easy setup. 50amp worked fine. There are couple of what look like full time rigs and the houses surround the sites. The town has one restaurant but most other spots including a gas station that was open a couple of years ago are now closed. Check out the Lira Mexican restaurant in Lingle, WY which is 10 minutes to the east.
