We stayed down in the area by the campground office with a lakeside view. A lot of seasonal campers and folks living in Park Model homes. It is a large campground with mature trees. The campground was clean and well maintained including the one bath house we used was clean but dated. The campground was very quiet and was mostly empty as it was mid-September. Wifi was good and there are a lot of things to do especially for families. There is a swimming pool, disc golf, mini golf and a large play area. Some of the staff were not that friendly but our interactions with them were limited. Plan to stay there in the future.

Fun story, I used to work at this campground when I was in high school and college, so it was exciting to me to finally be on the other side of the reservation desk. There are a tremendous amount of sites, many of which are designed to accommodate park model campers, so any type of unit will fit. Most sites are FHU, with maybe 25 sites W/E only. The Wi-Fi is park wide and works really well! Pool, lake (part of the Minocqua chain of lakes), mini golf, bar, restaurant, game room, lodge with activities, so there's plenty to do! You are also only 5 minutes from downtown Minocqua and all that's to offer there. There are two bath houses, but they are very dated but clean. Customer service has improved immensely since 2020. We met the manager’s wife who checked us in and she was extremely friendly and helpful. We then ran into the manager who offered to help us find our site. Once we explained our past employment here we had a nice talk about the campground and their struggle to find workers; seems to be a common problem unfortunately. Do note that there is an RV sales and service business with the same name out by the highway; different business, different owners, and they are super helpful too! Also, there are many seasonal campers there, as well as several individuals who actually own their sites outright, but this lends itself to lots of crazy lights as part of their landscaping, which makes it tough to see the stars. We enjoy our county parks and state parks, but this was nice too, albeit expensive. Although our visit in 2020 was a bit rough, 2021 was much better and we will return!
