This campground wasn't terrible, but it wasn't amazing either and I wouldn't seek it out in the future. We full-time and my parents were flying in to Minneapolis to spend a week with us in early August, so we were looking for a cabin/campground combo in the Minneapolis area and EVERYTHING was full. We ended up here because they had affordable cabins and a campground on a lake, so we figured we couldn't go wrong. The cabin was fine ($350 for the week), dated but clean with a full kitchen and bathroom. The campsite was fine, but be forewarned that the campground loop is tight and may be difficult for bigger rigs to navigate. We were the only campers there minus a full-time resident who we barely saw. The lake is only useable for fishing off the docks (which are a bit rickety) or boating - there is no useable shoreline. They do have rowboats and motors available for rent.Campsites have water and 20 amp hookups, no 30 or 50. No firepits, but there are a few homemade ones. There is a dump station but it is not well oriented at all - it's elevated from the road and makes dumping very difficult. As far as location, it's two hours from Minneapolis and two hours from Duluth, so it's out there. Spooner WI is half an hour away, but there isn't a whole lot going on in that town.Verizon and AT&T were surprisingly good and reliable. There's also good wifi available near the cabins, but it doesn't extend to the campsites. Finally, the owner of the property is a really lovely person, so that was a plus.
