You have to watch the signs on entry or you could find yourself in the primitive spaces or where a trailer shouldn’t be. Most sites are back in, but there are plenty that can accommodate a big rig like our 40’ fifth wheel. Some sites have a bit of slope to them but most were basically level gravel sites. There are many cabins and tent spaces. It appears they are equipped to meet the needs of snowmobilers as well as summertime tourists. The wifi is fairly solid through the park. It did drop out a couple of times but we were able to stream over it. Weekends have organized activities. There is a nice pool and hot tub. Many trails which I appreciated for walking our dog. Only improvements I would like would be to have a fenced dog area and more accessible trash dumpsters. The dumpsters were by the dump station which was a quarter mile walk up hill.

We’re in a van, so don’t stay in many RV Parks, but this place was clean and relatively spacious. We would go back. Can’t say that about any other RV park we’ve stayed. Really enjoyed this place!!

We camped in the upper loop which is more wooded and sites more spread out; upper loop is electric only and it has a bathhouse. Based on the number of mountain bikes I saw, there appears to be an expansive trail system here. We used this as basecamp for a 40 mile road cycling loop. This place is really charming and peaceful! Site #7 was perfect with the river running right behind it. Heavy woods, great trails and a cool bar onsite.

Someone was always cleaning, taking the trash or grading the road.Did not love the road noise but it’s not enough to stop us from returning...Just know there are trucks and you will hear themWood was $$$ I would suggest sourcing elsewhere off site Our site (#8) had some drainage issues which meant we were fighting mud our entire stay. Hopefully in time the drainage issues will be addressed. We look forward to returning next year

If no rain wouldn’t be as bad but with dogs or kids the camper would be a messWe will return as the location is great and love being on the river

We were lucky enough to have shade most of the day. We enjoyed the walks in the woods with the dogs. It's a vacation location, hence the price, so quite a lot of kids and we were probably the only people who were still working. We were able to level ok, but the sewer was in one of those ridiculous places behind the RV and slightly uphill. I have a Wastemaster sewer pipe that is permanently attached to the RV and stretches 22ft. I went 1 year without ever having to attach an extension to it and then this is the 3rd one this year. Please, please, please fix this! I looked at a couple of other sites and theirs were fine. There were several other big rig sites that we would not have been able to level on. I noticed another 45' RV with the drive and tag axles of the ground! I might stay here again, but I'd want to check with them that it is level and doesn't have a dumb sewer location.Plenty of food and shopping options in the area. The ATV's were able to leave from the park and head out into the woods.AT&T was our saviour on the signal and gave 20/5 Mbps. T-Mobile had nothing and Verizon was weak. The campground WiFi was 2/1 Mbps when we arrived, but fell to almost nothing later - ok for emails, but not worth using for anything else.

Someone recommended Rippling River resort so I made a reservation and stayed Friday to Friday. Full amenities and close to Marquette and Lake Superior. Lots of biking trails for those who like to mountain bike. Plenty of trails to hike. They had cabins for rent, full hook up for RVs and campers, partial hook up and also tent camping in the woods by the river. Camp store with plenty of supplies and also a bar that serves pizza and they had singing and activities at different times. I definitely would go there again.

Very nice bath/shower house with laundry- radiant heated floors. We (2 adults and 2 teenagers) walked the river trail and checked out the 12 remote tent sites and in the other direction, accessed the multitude of hiking/Mt. biking trails near the Marquette Mt ski hill. If you’re a Mt. biker or a road cyclist, Marquette offers you plenty of pedal trails! Premier location in the upper Midwest and it’s all accessible from Rippling River Resort. You’ll be about 5-6 miles from downtown Marquette where Northern Michigan Univ. is and plenty of great gift shopping and healthy eating. In summary, we’ll be back with our bikes!

It has been built in the last few years and has great amenities, including a pool and hot tub and is very family friendly. We stayed in the upper most loop of electric only sites for $40 (Site 82). This loop is very forested and similar to a State Park. The lowest loop where the full hookups sites are is near the office and pool is more open with less trees. The middle loop is about half forested and half open sites We could access the mountain biking trails right from the campground, and the outdoor pool was pretty warm. The showers are completely privately single bathrooms with hot water (although low water pressure). My only complaints are that the upper loop is quite a walk down to the pool and the laundry facilities consist of only 2 washers and 2 dryers (in the lower loop shower building) which were both in use when I wanted them (so I drove 5 minutes to a laundromat instead). We really enjoyed our stay here, and $40 (for electric only) with a pool, and great access to trails and Marquette was a good deal for us.

Three miles outside the cool town of Marquette, MI with restaurants and breweries, yet it feels so remote. A beautiful setting on a rippling trout river with hiking, mountain biking and skiing adjacent to the property on all sides. Roughly $30/night for a campsite, but it comes with all kinds of amenities including a good wifi, a mini-store, pool, hot tub, new and clean showers and restrooms, on-site bar, mini-golf course, and lovely back deck. We very much enjoyed the working on the deck with the river in sight as well as falling asleep to the ambient noise of the rapids. The also have RV sites and cabins. Pictured Rocks and the waterfalls near Munising are a great day trip. Family run place and the owner was so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

This was quite an upgrade though. The park is fairly new and well kept. There is a nice paved loop and the camp sites are gravel. Their lodge is small but has a lot of features...including a new bar that just opened the first day we were there. You can sit out on their back porch overlooking the river. They also have a large fire pit with a few chairs down closer to the river. The pool is heated and there is a hot tub also but we didn't try these out.The rate is $54/night for 4 people. Extra people over this are charged an additional $10/night so it gets pricey with a larger family.
