This was a one night stop over for us. Below average RV Park. Below average RV Park. The area felt very sketchy, the view was not near as scenic as I’d hoped and the bike/walking trail that you can access from the park in theory is very nice (this is not the RV parks issue-possibly a coastal CA thing?) but there were bums/Drifters all along the trail camped out with graffiti and trash everywhere. I would not have felt safe walking or biking by myself. Sites were small ish with very little privacy. Definitely a stop over spot or using it to access other site seeing locations but definitely not a campground you can enjoy while you’re at your campsite.

Stayed here last April...they had just switched management when I was there. The new staff was really nice. There is a convenient walking trail under the highway, so you can easily walk to the Target.

There was no choice, as far as I could find, for dispersed camping or boondocking in the area so we picked this RV park. Now, I'm not a fan of RV parks in general so perhaps I'm a bit skewed. However, here are my observations. It is VERY noisy since you are directly beside the highway. The sites are very close together which means no privacy. There is no view of any description. It is basically a large parking lot with a small stretch of grass between sites. There is nowhere to walk your dog other than around the perimeter of the park. The restrooms were not particularly clean. There is absolutely nothing to do on-site, i.e, no amenities. There are laundry facilities but only 3 washers/dryers for the whole park. And, the laundry room needed a GOOD cleaning. On the positive side, the park was quiet in terms of other guests. In fact, we barely saw anyone else. The city of Eureka is very interesting and eclectic. The "old" downtown core has maintained its quaintness and there are some cool shops, bistros, restaurants, nice stroll along the boardwalk. Also, an AMAZING health food store in town. Eureka Natural Foods. Fabulous! We were here off-season so we got a 17% discount. You would have to check the website for regular rates, though if you're planning a visit to this cool town, I would recommend you stay elsewhere.
