We were only staying one night originally but extended it to 2. The sites for overnighters were in the open but well maintained with fire pits and tables. If we knew originally we were going to add a night we could have gotten among the very y’all pine trees. LTE signal was good. Playground, laundry and bathroom-basic but clean. If we knew originally we were going to add a night we could have gotten among the very y’all pine trees. LTE signal was good. Playground, laundry and bathroom-basic but clean. The only negative would be that they were grass sites and if it rained hard for several days you could get bogged in with the grass sites, but we didn’t have any issues.

When we arrived and were checking in, we asked where the launch was in relation to the office. We were told they’ve never had a launch or access to the river. The website also says there is a nature walk, but that also didn’t exist. The campground was clean. Fire wood was $20 for a decent amount of wood. Full hookups. We were at the back of the ground away from the road, so it was quiet. Sites were a little tight and unlevel, but we didn’t have neighbors right next to us so we were able to use part of the site next to us. Not every site had a picnic table or fire ring. Had to grab one from a vacant site. Nothing special about the campground (no pool, laundry, etc.), but it served its purpose. Was a short drive (4 miles) to Leinenkugel’s and the river launch.
