Self check in nice. Laundry $2/ wash, $2/ dry. Bar/ restaurant and motel on site. Mostly populated with fisherman. Clean campground with great views. The only complaint is the lawn work going on into evening. Google FI cell service. WiFi available for no added cost.

Made reservations over the phone. You pay 100% up front. No email confirmation. When we hit there we were met by a woman with a sticky note with the WiFi and bathroom codes. Low key but effective. The dryer didn’t work so people were putting all their clothes outside to dry. The plus is the location right across from fishing access on the Missouri River. We tried to get a guide at the fly shop but we left it too late and they were all booked. The area is beautiful with the volcanic mountains. We saw bighorn sheep just down the road. We would stay here again. AT&T service with only a few bars but it worked.

Prewett Creek is a great home base for fishing (or whatever!) along the Big Mo just south of Cascade. Jojo was friendly and accommodating. I was able to work 4 days using the WiFi. The place is quiet - almost all sites were filled with people fishing - up early (but quiet) and quiet evenings. Very pleasant. We will be back!

  • Quiet and close to fishing or floating

We were greeted by the owner right away and he got us set up with our site, wifi password, and bathroom code. The site was level and pretty big! They had picnic tables at each site. They didn't have a fire pit, however, I think they have a few to lend out (don't quote me). I didn't use the shower, but the bathroom was clean! The wifi worked incredibly! I was impressed. It was super quiet, well until my 4 kids showed up! The night sky was breathtaking and they even had lots of deer roam through the site. They had a great fishing spot across the street. Or if you're not a fisher, like me, it was a beautiful spot to just relax. There wasn't a lot of amenities for kids, but we brought our own entertainment for them. I would absolutely recommend for a quiet, beautiful getaway!

The Missouri River is across the road and your surrounded by hills, mountains, rocks, water, deer and by horn sheep. The site was level amd all the utilities worked well. The water pressure was a little low but sufficient for our needs. There is a trial about a mile from the campground that is part of the Lewis and Clark trail. The driftwood bar and grill in cascade is a good place to grab a beer and burger. Very fast WiFi

  • Very quiet in a beautiful setting.

It’s a small mom and pop operation catering primarily to the fly fishing crowd. Facilities are a little rustic, but relatively well maintained. Sites are gravel with grass in between. The restrooms, one for each sex, each include a single toilet, sink and shower. They could use some updating, but we’re clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. The owner was friendly. WiFi worked well. Lots of deer wandering through the campground in the morning and evening. The surrounding cliffs are very scenic.Right across the old highway from the campground is a Dept. of Fish and Wildlife boat launch and small primitive campground. If we hadn’t wanted hook-ups for the night, showers in the morning, and WiFi, we might have stayed there instead.

LUCKILY I found Prewett Creek which fit the bill on all fronts. I called for reservations which Jojo handled immediately telling me upfront that we may have to switch spaces. We requested a 50 amp site as the weather was turning from beautiful 70s to mid-90s. What we got were 2 sites (we switched after 2 days) that were level, clean (gravel with grass between the sites) and with 50 amps. Perfect! Although the sites are not huge and neighbors avoiding the late afternoon sun may sit on the side of their rig facing your door, everyone was friendly and respectful of each other and we never felt as though our privacy was in jeopardy. And what a nice place!! Jojo and her husband are both so friendly and helpful and they keep the campground clean and quiet. The shower house has a code which keeps it to campers and clean. The water pressure is delightfully strong and there is ample hot water. The laundry room ($2/load/w/d) is also clean. Situated across the street from the Missouri and the Prewett Creek put in/take out site, it is on the same ground as a Fly Fishing concern that will drop you off at any point upriver. Most of the other campers seemed to be fishermen so they are out early each morning. Some campers were staying for a month or longer but there was none of the rattiness that seems to be found at other long term campgrounds. 1/2 hour to Great Falls, 20 min to First Peoples Buffalo Jump site, a 10 minute walk to Tower Rock, 45 min from Gates of the Mountains and 1 hour from Helena meant that we got to do a lot. The drive to any of these places is beautiful but it was nice t come back each evening and watch the sun sink behind the cliffs to the west then watch those cliffs light up with the next morning's sunrise. One word of caution, HUGE winds can come up at any time and Jojo will warn you but remember to secure everything before leaving the site and don't leave the awning out unless you are there (or awake) Oh our site was $35/night with the 7th night free but $2/day extra for 50amp. All of which is on their site and explained by Jojo.We had not great Verizon but there is WiFi that was decent through the CG. The only time it slowed was in the late afternoon when everyone got back and got on.

  • Beautiful quiet valley and a nice campground.

The owners are on site and very attentive to each customer. Campground has a small laundry and single bathrooms for each sex with showers. They are old, but relatively clean and have instant on hot water. Our first night here, bighorn sheep came down and ate in the evening in the meadow immediately adjacent to the park. Apparently, this is a routine occurrence. The herd consisted of approximately 20 Big Horn. Only negative is a lack of shade in many of the campsites, including ours as it does get pretty hot in the afternoon In the valley in August. The Missouri River is across the street and quite accessible. We are going to take our standup paddleboard for a ride down the Missouri today. The bait and tackle shop located at the front of the property will drive you up the river and drop you off. Panoramic views of the Mountain/rocky hills surrounding the property.
