Next to Hwy 20 so some road noise during the day. Most sites are pull thru for guys like me spending one or two nights here. Back in sites along the river seem to used by longer term RVers and that's okay. Ten minute drive to the cool western town of Winthrop. Will stay here again on the way to North Cascades from Eastern Washington.

Some are pull through, most full service. There are also tent sites.Although the small downside is its closeness to a fairly busy road, the location right by the river, close proximity to Twisp, Winthrop and endless, gorgeous wilderness more than makes up for it.We like the quieter shoulder season, and the fact that the park does not have bright night lights so you can see the stars. The biggest annoyance is campers that leave bright outside lights on all night!!We return again and again and recommend the park almost unreservedly! (the wifi is not very good!!)

Lovely park, wide/long spaces, easy access, well maintained, gorgeous surroundings, close to local shops and attractions, and the drive up the Scenic Loop is breathtaking.Definitely one of our top 10 parks.

A quiet, serene place on the river. Very clean, huge dog park was a plus!Unfortunately, the smoke from nearby fires was bad, making outside activities limited. However, the park was pretty empty because of that.

  • Lovely quiet campground with easy access to Methow .

It seems a little dicey when you first drive in (some permanent single wides with lots of trash outside) but as you get further into the park it’s well kept, if not a little crowded. We gave up full hook up to move to the power and water site at the end of the campground and it was lovely. River access, quiet and out dogs were very happy without all the foot traffic. We would stay again.

River front were pull-ins, but many pull-through spots as well on the other rows. Nothing fancy here, but a clean and well kept park. Table and fire ring at each site, although our ring was about 50 feet from our space. Most looked this way and probably a good idea for smoke control between neighbors. We opted for premium river front w/FHU. Great view of the hills across the water. This is a few hundred feet from the FAST running river. Not good for people or pup swimming. Small rock beach area easily accessible. NO mats or rugs allowed on grass, so, no mats or rugs period unless you're in a small enough unit to not need the full space width, which is about 12 feet. Easy to maneuver in and out of spaces, but no privacy between them. Had about 12-15 feet between our door and back side of neighbors. That being said, park was about 70% full and primarily a mature crowd, so no issues and nice and quiet at night.( We did a recon run in the Toad to the nearby KOA, aka Disneyland. Also looked at a different private park on Pearrygin Lake as well as the state park there. We'll likely try the East Area of the State Park in the future. FHU and descent spacing there. The private park and West area of the state park we're tightly packed with kids and water toys. To be expected this time of year, and all good if this works for you.) Laundry and showers on site if needed. We didn't, so can't comment on quality. Large dog run. All dirt, but clean with a new fence, so secure to let em run and chase a ball. Just gonna be dusty when done! There is a bit of daytime road noise but wasn't bothersome to us. And there are a few run down mobile homes on the back side of the park away from the spaces. Chained dogs and front yard items, but no issues from any of the folks living there during our stay.Bring the bug spray. Tis skeeter season this time of year. We didn't bother with the Sat TV for this weekend trip, but had good free WiFi for music, etc.

Not sure how someone would be able to park if the campground was full, but when we stayed in early August about half the spots were empty.Just a short stroll to the river where we skipped rocks and watched the sunset.

Showed up and he showed me the spot and it was like a premium spot at many parks. Excellent service from Shane at front office, the park is nice with large shade trees right along the river, green grass adjacent to gravel sites, they need a little water but they’re current in drought restrictions. I was able to take my dogs for a swim easy access points to the river. This is an excellent overnight stop for us but it also would be a great spot for several days to explore the North Cascade Hwy. The road noise for our spot was the only negative thing if any but we were there during an event weekend so it was heavily traveled but by dark it quieted down.

Sites are gravel, but not the dusty blowing gravel that's all over here.We stayed in a pull-in site directly on the Methow river, which was truly amazing. The view out our front window was spectacular. Outside, we had a spacious and lush shaded spot with plenty of room for the kids to play. While in town, we visited several other RV parks. This was memorial day weekend, so we are seeing these parks at their absolute most packed. Other parks felt dusty, exposed, crowded, and packed with partiers. Riverbend, on the other hand, had a much more mellow vibe, and was considerably less dense. The location, further south from the other parks, is also an advantage. The town of Twisp is happening on Saturday mornings (only), so it's easy to go check that out. Also, because it's outside of Winthrop, you don't have to go through that chokepoint to get around to areas south of Winthrop.I wish there was a pool or beach, and it needs a better playground that isn't a falling apart afterthought. For these reasons I would have given it four stars. However, since it seemed like the best option in the entire valley, I'll have to normalize across the range of alternatives and give it five stars.I think there is new management as of May 2016, so if you read reviews on other sites of dirty bathrooms or surly customer service, check the date. We encountered none of these problems.
