Spokane has an RV park problem. There are very few good ones nearby, and while this park has nice amenities, its sites are small and it’s very expensive. We didn’t have a bad experience here, but it has proven to be one of the most average and expensive parks we’ve found in the last two years fulltiming.

Cute park with tight spaces. We got our 45 in but very tight fit. Not much room for toad but the park is well kept. They sell propane here but the person that does that was gone for the weekend. So we will hunt for a propane distribution station. Sort of inconvenient. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Says big rigs ok, but not. Sites are the thinnest we have ever seen and the pad is only about a foot wider than our class A. We had a premium pull through advertised at 65’ long. We are 45’ towing a CR-V. Had to remove towed in order to maneuver back and forth into the space. Once in barely had space to park the car. They said use over...moreSays big rigs ok, but not. Had to remove towed in order to maneuver back and forth into the space. Once in barely had space to park the car. They said use overflow if we did not fit (had to be off the road) but overflow spaces were always occupied with what appear to be the cars of long term residents. Lots of sketchy people living there. The park was well cared for and the staff was nice. But would not stay there again for the above reasons.

  • Attractive park just outside Spokane, but sites are much too narrow for any big rig.

First the bad: As others have mentioned, the biggest problem with this park is the very narrow and tight sites, and the trees and shrubs at each site make it worse. We only have slides on one side of our motorhome (driver's side), and it's a good thing. If we had opposing slides we wouldn't have been able to open them (we couldn't open our awning at all because of the large tree on our camping side). We use a ramp for our large elderly dog and there wasn't even enough room to place the ramp at our entrance door. We reserved a 50' site for our 36' motorhome and CR-V, but we were later told that we wouldn't fit because there's no room to spare and cars can't be parked horizontally in front of the coach, so we had to upgrade to a 60' site which is their most expensive site. Something else new to us: they use "demand-based pricing" which means there are no fixed rates, the rates change based on how many sites are left, so when we later upgraded to the premium 60' site we had to pay even more since the 60' site had gone up in price since our initial reservation (price listed above is before Good Sam discount). On the good side, the park is attractive, landscaped, and well maintained, despite the ongoing construction. There's a pretty large fenced dog area and a grassy field to walk on leash. There's a dog walking path behind some of the back-in sites but it's overgrown and is a dead-end. It's very close to town and every store you could need (Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, etc.). Good AT&T and Verizon signal. There's some highway noise but it's not bad at all. We won't stay here again simply because the sites are much too small even for our average-sized motorhome.

  • Good location & quiet, but narrow sites

We've stayed here twice. While we'd prefer boondocking, summer is Spokane is all about insuring the AC has power. Alderwood has a small but adequate laundry, pool, and clean showers. Most of the sites are pull through and more than adequate for us, but seem to be awfully narrow for Beast sized rigs with slideouts on both sides.
