The tent camping area was closed, so there was a great place to walk the dogs, which is very important to us. Our space backed up to a small open area as well. Plenty of space for our truck/camper. The site was level, but dirt, so I would imagine it would get muddy in the winter. There is some understory beneath the tall fir trees which made for a nice feel, with a little bit of privacy for some spots. Most spots were filled with what appeared to be long-timers, though most were pretty tidy. We were disappointed that the bathroom/showers were closed due to water shortage. There was road noise that mostly subsided at night, much better than the alternatives along I-5. Overall it was a decent place for a stopover just a few miles from I-5.

  • Very woodsy and natural

The price of $42 nightly was actually the weekly rate. Then of course the taxes. I mentioned I was getting a rental car and expected family to be in and out so I was given a larger site to accommodate at least two cars. Gentleman was very polite and accommodating. I really enjoy the feel of being in the great “outdoors” but at the same time felt a bit of concern over brush that was a bit overgrown. Connections were fine and several over air tv stations. The office was also a small general store that had most basics. Setting was quite relaxing. The biggest downside for me was no showers because of covid. Laundry was a short ride into town and was given a map for convenience.

  • Comfy cozy, private and pretty.

Husband and I had to arrive separately, there was no problem for me to check in with his reservation. There are some long term and full time folks here, a few kids on bikes so, please drive safely. The Lots were situated so to created easy back in (even for little ol’ me by myself). Electrical panels are new and clean and easy to connect to. Sewer and water were easy too. Antenna worked great. Verizon 4G was only 3 bars at best but not too bad. Space/Lot were clean with convenient trash cans at every spot. Interesting bell-south phone booth near our space in the woods... I kept waiting for Roofus or Bill and Ted to show up...nice picnic tables and little home crafted hubcap bbqs at every spot. We are self contained and did not venture to the bathrooms so, I have no input there, though the reputation leaves something to be desired. The staff is awesome. So friendly and helpful giving us maps and directions to their favorite local eateries. I felt safe and secluded, there was a little daily traffic noise but nothing after 7pm. Neighboring campers were quiet too!

The park is a mix of long term residents and short term. The park does not allow wood fires, so a propane fire pit would be necessary. Most of the spots were being used while we were there, and a lot of them had garbage strewn about the site.
