Very nice lady. Older but shady and very peaceful. A good secure place to leave your trailer while exploring.
Nice location and owners, horrible cell service

Let's start with the bad. This campground is located right between cell towers. If you have Verizon and need a constant cell connection, go further west to the Cascade RV Park in Parkwood. There the cell tower is directly across the street. Here, the signal tends to fade in and out. A cell phone booster was not help. The MiMo antenna helped marginally. The entry to the campground is not clearly marked. DO NOT turn down Young Street. Yes, that is the address, but it does not have the entrance. There is a large privet hedge between the campground and Highway 12. You can either get in via a driveway at the west edge of the campground/privet hedge or an entry in the center of the privet hedge. When you pull in the center driveway, there is a large sign on the office advertising horse blanket repairs. You have found the place. The campground is cash only. They will take Passport America. We paid $20 per night for 50 amps and water. There is an additional $5 charge to use the dump station. The sites are between stately Douglas Fir and Cedar trees. The sites are not clearly marked, but the owner had us follow her in her golf cart to park. Some sites are on the grass, some are on gravel. Each has a picnic table. Some have fire ringsThe owners (Clifford and Janice) are nice, their granddaughter is the manager. We primarily dealt with the owners since we arrived during the week. The granddaughter was around on the weekend. Clifford has a huge garden on the property and sells delicious sweet corn. I was given some cucumbers for free when we arrived. And Clifford drove around in his cart one evening giving away Bartlett Pears. Room service!!!The office and the rest of the facilities are in need of some sprucing up. Laundry was $1.50 each for washer and dryer. The laundry room was in need of a thorough cleaning. I didn't want to linger in there. I didn't check out the rest rooms. There is definitely no over-the-air TV. There is no WiFi. You do get some road noise from Highway 12.We enjoyed our week in the mountains, but the cell phone coverage fading in and out frustrated us. Next time we would stay in Packwood.
