We spent our three days here running from camper to car and vice versa. Great area to explore highlights of Olympic National Park. Beautiful location on the beach. There seemed to be less mosquitoes closer to the entrance because those campers were sitting outside!

Our site #2 was a back in which gave us a nice view of the water from our front window, especially the sunsets. We had FHU 50 amp and because we were close to the office we had decent Wifi. The sewer was strange because it was a sideways opening below grade, not a screw in type (see pic). We had to secure it together by putting a large rock in the hole. It was quite far back and required us to use 2 sewer hoses. Our power and water were on a shared tower. The site was grass, not level and had a very small cement pad for a patio with a picnic table. Verizon was 3G 1 bar and we got a message that said “Welcome to Canada”. The folks in the office were super nice. The sounds of the waves were delightful. We walked along the beach but it was full of seaweed that was covered with bugs. It was very quiet here!

The Sites are packed in here in the usual way, mot much privacy. However, there is a marvelous beach directly in front of the RV Park, reserved for guests only which makes up for the sites! The staff and the guests were really friendly when I was there (end of July 2018) so I am staying there again on my return trip in late August. Super convenient to Port Townsend for taking the fery to Victoria. Little touches like the floral painting on the walls of the bathrooms show that the staff here really care about the place. Laundry is clean and efficient, too!

The park has some great tide pools, so if you time it you can go see one of the better tide pools you will see anywhere. The beach is wide and clean, and the sunsets are spectacular. This is an out-of-the-way place with a big payoff.
