After reading a review about this campground I definitely had to have a stay. Camping in the middle of a meadow sounded very relaxing to me. But I was quite surprised to find the camping area to be shaded with trees. Woods all around and a beautiful creek below it all. Yes there are a few seasonal campers here definitely some of the nicest people you would meet. The bath house was very clean. Didn't find any ticks while we were there!! This might not be your high end full hook up glamping campground but for our purpose of resting, relaxing and not a heavily populated campground it was perfect for us!
Disappointing

After reading the reviews, I really wanted to like this place but it was a terrible disappointment. First, the last 10 miles of the route was very difficult, regardless of whether you approached from Bedford or Breezewood. Once in the campground, you have another half mile of steep winding one -lane gravel road. The campsites are arranged around a large muddy meadow. There are no pads of any kind, just power poles randomly placed in the field. And there are a number of nice shade trees, however, it appears that they don’t need to mow so the field was loaded with ticks. The bathroom was not well-maintained: dirty and very worn. There were about eight permanent, dilapidated trailers and about 15 more power poles. On the plus side, the woods around the campground were beautiful though very steep..
