We stayed 7 nights at Thousand Trails Chehalis RV Campground. In this video, we provide you a walking tour of the campground and show you some of the best campsites. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 14.1 Mbps download speed and 0.15 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 5.94 Mbps download speed and 0.45 Mbps upload speed. T-Mobile cellular service clocked in at 0.76 Mbps download speed and 1.10 Mbps upload speed.

Typical Thousand Trails, very few sewer sites, sites small and unlevel and faculties and condition of sites are run down. We have a 44 ft motorhome and could get through the dirt streets but not many lots available. It’s a very large park and only half the sites are 50 amp. Verizon was poor and unable to get satellite. I don’t know what TT doesn’t upgrade their parks. Not worth the membership!!

We stayed twice in Chehalis, and we agree with others in that this place needs updating as there are many sites with no electrical available. That being said, it kept you from having neighbors if you camped near those sites. Due to COVID amenities were shut down. The natural beauty of this campground is what makes it special. C loop...moreWe stayed twice in Chehalis, and we agree with others in that this place needs updating as there are many sites with no electrical available. That being said, it kept you from having neighbors if you camped near those sites. Due to COVID amenities were shut down. The natural beauty of this campground is what makes it special. C loop is where we stayed both times, as it had the most updated sites and cell signal was better in that area. If you are able to be in the sites close to the pool and lodge in this loop you will be able to use the campground WIFI. Staff were very friendly and restrooms were cleaned regularly.

My site was level, and wide enough to give no trou...moreThis was my first Thousand Trails campground, and my favorite TT park so far. It’s free with the membership. You choose your own site when you arrive. I did encounter a lot of sites with electrical outages, but saw contractors working on them at least twice during my stay in June 2020. My site was level, and wide enough to give no trouble getting my 35’ coach parked. There was a table and fire pit included, and large trees between the sites. I was able to get decent service with T-Mobile but found it better to use internet via the clubhouse WiFi. The park is quiet and dark at night. The best rest I’d gotten in a while.

This was to be our first outing in our motorhome and our first time using Thousand Trails. This was place a major disappointment for us. First thing that happened was we damaged our motorhome when I hit a tree stump with the side of our coach that was hidden in the overgrown underbrush that is prevalent thru out the park. Once we got s...moreThis was to be our first outing in our motorhome and our first time using Thousand Trails. This was place a major disappointment for us. First thing that happened was we damaged our motorhome when I hit a tree stump with the side of our coach that was hidden in the overgrown underbrush that is prevalent thru out the park. Once we got settled into our spot and hooked up found out the power did not work. After driving around the whole park several times we could not find a site that was big enough for us that had a power station that worked. This could be a great park if the trees were trimmed back, the black berry bushes were cleaned up, and of the power stations were repaired. We ended up at different rv park that was not Thousand Trails.

Access to th...moreThousand Trails Chehalis We stay two nights from August 31st through September 2, 2019 in campsite H43, the price was $o.oo due to our Thousand Trails membership. Our site has electricity and water hook up. The site was level and has plenty of ripe blackberries for picking. The campground is at an elevation of 150 ft. Access to the campground was right off Centralia Alpha Rd, our 28 ft travel trailer easily fit with room to spare in our site. Once we entering the campground, the pavement turns to hard-packed gravel as we looped around once to find our campsite. Weather was sunny upper 70's, the nights low 60's.This is a very quiet campground, activities we found at the campground to keep busy was billiards, two lodges, and two pools, Bingo was being played in one of the lodges. The campground has free showers, plenty of hot water and not more than a minute walk from our campsite. My wife and I enjoyed the campground, we will be back the next time we want to go to Mt. Rainier or Mt. St. Helens.

That being said, its age is definitely apparent, but I think adds to the charm of the campground. We visited this campground in April. Though it was a rainy weekend, this was a great place to relax and leave the hustle and bustle. It was a short and easy drive from Portland, just minutes off I-5. The campground only had two loops open at this time because of the rain. Unfortunately, the roads and sites were quite muddy, but I think that's to be expected at this time of the year. When the rain stopped, the Roy Rodgers field next to our site proved to be a great place to run my dog. It had an expansive view of farm land and was very charming. TLDR;Pros:- Secluded and detached, very relaxing- Just enough signal to live stream the Master's (very important!) - Friendliest neighbors who "owned" their siteCons:- During the rainy season, this campground was muddier than most other sites- 30 Amp, but I kept tripping throughout the night. Only my heat pump was onI thoroughly enjoyed the campground. In the rainy season, I think it was a perfect place to sit under the awning and watch the rain come down. It is an older campground, which invites flaws. However, knowing that it would be a wet weekend, having great neighbors, and being a beautiful setting in the rain, I thought the campground was quaint and relaxing.

We stopped in here for a night to break up the drive from Washington to Oregon . Really nice campground. Lots of trees and grass. Out in the country but close enough to the freeway. Seemed really quiet in our loop and the sites had nice separation. Rate reflects Zone Pass member rate.
