Quaint & quiet

Easy stop and good proximity to Rainier. Back RV sites very close together but good flat gravel. WIFI was poor.

This is a really nice, small RV park (16 sites). Full hook-ups. Mount Ranier NP right up the road. Flat sites. Super quiet. Clean. Patrons respectful of each other and surroundings. Also has small cabins. Laundry is one washer and dryer. Plus 2 showers. Clean. Plenty of hot water. Decent WiFi. (Probably not for working)

Laundry machine was broken so they let use use the office washer and dryer for free! Full hookups and they have cute cabins for rent (probably expensive). Great WIFI never had an issue with speed but the care taker says it does slow down when they’re full during the summer. 2 bars LTE was adequate but WIFI was quicker. 45 min drive to Paradise lodge on Mt Rainier. Close to Elbe a cute little town with old trains, great pizza and don’t forget Morton 35 min away for groceries. Forget Seattle it was horrible...

We visited probably one of the last good weekends of the Fall, the end of October. The campground was is small and when we visited very quiet. Maybe half full on Friday and even fewer people on Saturday. The campground is not a ‘resort’ but the location is great and it is a mix of cabins and RV spots. We stayed in RV site 17. I peaked into some of the vacant cabins and most are newer and they looked super cute. Less than 1/2 mile to Nisqually entrance. It is a forested mountain setting. Not fancy. Big trees, mossy and mostly shaded. The team running the campground were wonderful and very accommodating. They allowed us to pick a new site at check in that was more secluded and a later check out. Granted it was pretty empty so they may not always be able to do that. The biggest PRO was location- Mt Rainier is awesome and we had a great visit. The biggest CON- one shared restroom. One shared shower. Thankful that it wasn’t busy so not a big deal while we were there but could present a problem in the summer season. While we were in town, we walked the dogs at Ashford County park. It was a great spot to exercise them before heading to the Mountain. And the rest of our time we were at Rainier. PS good WiFi Happy travelsRachel and Daryl
Couldn't have been more cozy and nice.

The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. If you wanted firewood, all one needed to do was tell the owners, and their young son had it delivered to your trailer very soon. The resort is located right outside Rainier, so it is just minutes to enter the park.I would definitely come back and stay again. No cell coverage, but wi-fi was good during the day.
Pricey! But good WiFi and an old cabin-y experience

It was pricey-a couple hundred dollars plus for four nights—but it was also a beautiful little family style place that was just outside of the National Park and within walking distance to a couple of cute restaurants. Moss-laden cabins and heavily shaded RV spots living beneath some sizable redcedars. A simple but effective playground. Dirt roads and little paths all around to explore. We met quite a few of our fellow campers (the sites are rather close together). We were in site 11 and had good enough connection with their wifi for me to work. AT$T and Verizon were about a giant zero. Unless you've got US Cellular, this is one of the very few places you can get connected anywhere near the west or south sides of Rainier, and much better than Packwood's RV park in my ever so humble opinion. The cute couple running the place were extremely nice and not too strict about things, unusual for a place like this. And there you have it.
