We were placed in a newer part of the RV park, but our spot was a very unleveled gravel patch surrounded by construction dirt, sand and ants. Other parts of the park looked great. This campground is convenient to Interstate 81, just a short drive. Be aware however, don't follow your GPS but follow the signs. Our GPS tried to take us down a mud cow trail that does have a street sign. We didn't try the free cable. Our site left a bit to be desired as it was unlevel in both directions. If staying again I would request one of the older sites nearer the office. Check in was easy but no escort to site. No trash pick up, had to drop it off on the way out.

Site L16 had full hookups and has a gravel pull-through that was level with a cement pad for the picnic table and fire pit. Many other sites are not level. This could be fixed by bringing in additional gravel. We saw several RVs with tires off the ground. Utilities were a little too forward for Class A’s without using extensions. They have free analog cable and WIFI, there was good cell coverage on AT&T. There were some Over the Air TV channels, but we decided to use cable instead. It’s a great park for families (playground, fishing pond, arcade games, swimming pool with slides, and even a bowling alley (not open due to Covid). The city of Wytheville is a charming town to check out while you are here.

I actually prefer a state park type of camping experience but we had our five year old granddaughter on this trip and wanted amenities she’d like. This KOA fit the bill as she enjoyed the playground, miniature golf, and fishing. Other indoor activities were still closed due to COVID. Sites were pretty level, some in the woods, and most in the open. And a rare campground experience: great WiFi! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Stopped here on both our to and back from the North Carolina coast. Nice facilities and quiet. Very impressed.

Sunday morning, the park cleared out again. It was just a different experience than we are used to, but it made for some prime people and RV-watching! Site 28 is a very spacious, corner lot that has a large tree that provides some much needed afternoon shade. The site is also very confident to the bath house, which was one of the cleanest we have been in this summer, as well as the pool. The water slide is closed, as well as the Fun Center, but the playground and mini golf are still open. I enjoyed morning walks through the entire campground. The 70s and 80s are definitely are the most wooded and have most shade. I’d like to stay in those sites next time. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!

The directions from the staff was confusing with the roads not marked. Site 49 was very short and uneven. We just gave up and slept with our heads down. Water pressure good, electric worked well. Wifi did not work, Cable ok. T-mobile worked well, we had to hot spot from it. When you get off the interstate and get back on was confusing. We just drove on Cleveland Ohio without problems,so I don't think it was us.If we had been staying more than one night I would have ask for a different site. Maybe this is why we got the bad site?

Roads were easy to navigate to campground. Site 79 was a back in, very level, private and wooded. Was a perfect size for our teardrop camper. Owners accompanied you to site to make sure you were able to get set up. Electric and water on site worked well. Picnic table on concrete slab. Fire ring in sandy soil. Restrooms and showers were clean. Verizon cell worked great. Would book this site again if visiting this area. Did not use any discount.

Super well cared for Park. We don’t normally stay in KOA; stopped to look around the area and we’re pleased at the Park appearance. Lastely the proclaimed internet wouldn’t stay connected. Notified the office and young fellow said it’s an ongoing issue in lower part of Park.

We stayed here one night on the way to Boston and found it to be very clean and the sites are decent sized. Only about 10 of us here on a Tuesday in late August. They have tons of facilities for families including a bowling alley and arcade. It's a great location for a stopover if you are on 81 between Roanoake and Knoxville.

This place has just improved like crazy in the past two years. It's a clean, groomed KOA type park, quiet (though somewhat near the freeway) place and what you'd expect from a KOA, maybe a little less "kid" and more seniors but all around if you're into Kamping, this place shouldn't disappoint.
