The kids loved the pools (2 pools plus splash pad/pool/slides). A couple arts and crafts (kids and adults) or science experiments each day.Be prepared for golf carts everywhere. They discourage using your vehicle except to enter and exit the resort, so golf carts are an easy way to get around. Rentals are available on site, or you can bring your own for a small daily fee.T-mobile in the interior of the park was non-existent but as you move towards the outskirts it picked up to 5G. AT&T through LTE modem was functional but slow.

  • Less campground, more camping resort...on a beautiful river

The journey to get to Topping, VA takes you through a lot of smaller areas, and smaller roads, however all are accessible by big rigs. The camp itself is the last turn before a very large bridge over the river (the same bridge you'll need to take for any access to groceries or restaurants), and the bridge is NOT capable of handling big rigs, so DO NOT MISS YOUR TURN. The Camp is much like a resort, with a party atmosphere. Part of the resort are seasonal sites and part are transient. There are golf carts around every turn (and are for rent) with music playing and people having a good time. While this is great until 10p, with small kids be prepared to wear them out to ensure they sleep through the "Friends In Low Places" serenade of those folks riding around on neon lit carts. That said the amenities are incredible, with an ice cream shop on site, equipment rentals (carts, boats, games, etc.), tons of playgrounds and room to run, a paddleboat pond with exercise equipment surrounding it, as well as access to boat docks for guests and a gigantic pool area with two pools, one for kids and one for adults. The kids side has so many fountains and slides and pool equipment it's sure to keep the kids entertained for hours. The pool also has a snack shop Thursday-Sunday for those who get hungry.Be sure to plan a longer trip to Grey's Point. The people are incredibly friendly (will deliver you to your site and make sure you have everything you need), the location is fantastic, with great views and with tons to do you are sure to not have to leave (make sure to bring groceries for the week, otherwise prepare for a bit of a drive). One of our favorite places to date, and we would absolutely stay again (and will!)!Weekly Rates: YesWIFI: Yes, 20 Mbps down, 3 Mbps upCable TV: YesReceive Mail: Yes, but delayed due to PO Box requirement and locationFull Hookups: YesFire Pits onsite: Depends (sites with Fire Pits cost more)
