Small but sweet spot on the Chickahominy River. Management went out of their way to tell us about the area and sites to see. Very nice people! Little general store onsite. Water view campsite with full hookups was roomy and peaceful. Fishing off their pier was fun and the sunrise and moonrise over the water were beautiful. We wanted to go kayaking and wished we had another day to spend. Highly recommend it, at least for off-season. It looks like it may be busier in the summer with seasonal campers.

  • Small camp on the Chickihominy River. Good people.

Lots of RV parks and campgrounds on the Virginia peninsula but they were all booked up on the weekend we were going to stay there. It was also one of the hottest days of the year so we wanted a full hookup 50 amp site. For $45/night this is nice. Met the owners and they are RV'ers themselves who have just moved here last year from central Florida. Seemed like nice people and charge a fair price. Site was hard, ground was level, river view out the back windows. Worked for us.
