Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Stunning location. Well organized. We had full hook-up, but sites available for all types of camping. Visit nearby Floyd. Fun, funky little hippie town. El Charro Mexican restaurant a surprise. Excellent take-out. Wifi decent. Wonderful campground!
Perfect.

We loved it here. The site was nice and long (so plenty of room for cars). It was relatively level, so we didn’t have to do much with leveling. It was relatively level, so we didn’t have to do much with leveling. It was a pretty long walk to the bathroom, so we had to drive to use it each time. We also have 5 kids ranging from infant to 11. We could have walked, but we chose not to because of the frequent potty breaks. The views were beautiful and the stars were so bright and clear. The campground is really quiet also and wide spread. Bathroom B was one of the cleanest bathhouses we have seen at campgrounds. Bathroom A seemed to be maintained less and my kids refused to use it…. Word of warning: while the WiFi is good, we had zero phone service around the area.We will definitely be returning for a longer stay! Overall, we loved it!
Very peaceful setting **Follow campground directions closely - Do not rely on GPS**

There are walking trails, a laundromat, dog park and disc golf onsite.Floyd has a couple of nice restaurants. The pizza from Dogtown Roadhouse was fantastic and the beer from Buffalo Mountain Brewery was great. The local Food Lion was large and clean. For more to do, Roanoke is about 1 hr drive and has all the amenities you'd needCons are the drive in is long on 2 lane windy roads. Lots of slow turns although I will say the road conditions were good. The internet was pretty much non existent and not usable even though the campground was barely filled.ATT service was not reliable even w/ a booster. Verizon was in and out depending on load. During the week, Verizon was good enough to work and stream video calls.Make sure you look at the website and follow their instructions very carefully as you could easily find yourself turning down a road you cannot get out of and end up in a bad spot.
Loved this wonderful campground!

The grounds were very well kept and mowed. Trash cans were abundant and bathrooms were decent. This campground also accommodates tents that are spread out and we even witnessed a sweet wedding in their event space, that had guests with horses! We will return and stay longer!

There are well marked trails on the property for hiking and mountain biking. Staff is friendly and facilities are clean and well maintained. We really liked this place. We had full hookups. It would have been nice to have some shade since the way our campsite was oriented meant our awning couldn't protect from afternoon sun, but it seems all sites in that area are facing the same way. Laundry and camp store on premises; utility sink at the bathhouse. Great location for Blue Ridge Parkway and bluegrass music.

The campground is huge, but not many RV sites - with lots of green space. Terry, at check-in, was so nice and helped us extend to a second night. He gave us information on Floyd, VA as well as recommendations on places to eat and music venues for the weekend. So appreciated. Floyd is a great little town with a few cute shops, restaurants and a brewery. We arrived on Saturday and enjoyed the music at the Floyd Country Store as well as Wildwood Farms General Store. I would highly recommend these local experiences!

Nearby town of Floyd VA has several restaurants, a large grocery store and an ABC store plus more. Rained the entire time we were here (never saw the sun) but we did tour much of the local area and found the rolling countryside to be lush and green. Hope to return when we have a shot at seeing stars at night.

Very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful — we stayed in the fall as the leaves were turning, and both our spots - up on the hill, and down in the lower area - had great views of the surrounding hills.B-8 in particular was an awesome spot – it has a ton of room, and a great view.

Absolutely beautiful. In the Blue Ridge Mountains close to the little (very little) town of Floyd. Peaceful, fun hills to bike on. Amazing sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Great local restaurants (very few, but nice) and THE VIEW. Long and winding roads to get here. Add extra time.

The park is very near the Blue Ridge Parkway. They have many events here and one year we'd love to be here for the Bluegrass event.
