We were at the end of a row so we had trees on two sides which we enjoyed. The fire pits are pretty close to the rigs where we were but we didn’t have any fires so it was fine for us. Our neighbors on the one side were lovely and all things considered, we enjoyed being tucked into the trees. We loved the river path and the stream, we took the dogs down there daily for some exercise and to enjoy the water. There are some nice hikes nearby, the Mount Crag trail (2.5-3 miles round trip, 800ft elevation gain) was easy enough when you’re out of shape but still provided great views of the area. Driving up Mount Washington was a great experience we’d highly recommend! Cell signal for both Verizon and AT&T was pretty lousy, luckily we had a booster with us. The campground has Wifi but it was spotty.

This is a nice little campground. We went on the first day it opened for the season. The price for full hook-ups; sewer, water, electric and cable was only $42 a night.

We stayed in a pull-thru spot that had trees between us and our neighbors. There was also lots of room for sitting around the campfire. There was a cool river walk trail that we enjoyed exploring. The pool was very small and very busy, but it was heated. The showers cost money.

This campground was a little tough to rate, since it has some advantages and disadvantages. It is very rustic (which we like) and many areas feel more like a national forest or state park campground than a private campground. It's heavily wooded, and there's a great walking trail along the river where our Lab was thrilled to soak in the water every day. Be aware, there's a very steep downward slope on the first part of the trail that can be difficult for some. It's close to Gorham which has plenty of local stores, and a Walmart is a few miles further away. The staff/owners were friendly and helpful, and we were able to receive packages during our stay. There's a pool, hot tub, arcade, and playground. The campground is sandwiched between a rail line and US-2... the highway was pretty noisy, but the train was fairly quiet, though is likely more annoying if you are in the tent area which is right near the tracks. Most sites are pretty close together, and our site was extremely narrow for our big rig, with neighbors right next to us on each side. We had a couple days of rain and our site got muddy. Low voltage was a bit of a problem, but as long as we didn't use more than 25-30 amps at a time on each leg of our 50-amp connection we were OK. The free WiFi worked sometimes, but was often slow. AT&T was very weak but usable at our site near the office, but we had no AT&T signal in other parts of the campground (or even along the highway). Verizon worked well in the whole area. We took a quick look at the other campground down the road and much preferred the look/feel of Timberland, so if we return to the area, we'll stay here again.

It's very easily accessed from the east or west. The campground was very well kept. Most of the sites are fairly level and well shaded by trees. There is a nice little trail at the back end of the campground that leads along the river. It makes for a nice evening stroll. The owners were very accommodating and very pleasant to chat with. They live in the campground full time, so they are always around to help with anything. They also know the area very well, and have great suggestions on local attractions. They even give out a nice printout with things to do when you arrive. The showers are $0.25 for 10 minutes and are very spacious. The restrooms were kept very clean. They have laundry on site. It's $1.75 to wash and $1.00 to dry. The laundry room also included some gaming machines and a small lounge, although we didn't spend much time in there. We were there late September, so the campground was really quiet during the week, but it started to fill in for an ATV festival for the weekend. There is some road noise, but we weren't bothered by it at all. The Verizon signal was stronger than I anticipated, at least at our site. I was able to maintain LTE the entire time and no issues with my VPN and RDP connections. Was also able to stream HD video without any hiccups. I didn't get a chance to test the AT&T signal strength. The campground is very close to Gorham, which offers all the amenities of a small town. There are decent places to grab a bite to eat and plenty of small shops. There is also a Walmart on the opposite end of town. It's only a relatively short drive to Conway from the campground, as well. All in all, we were very happy with our stay here and would certainly stay here again.

The campground is situated in the woods on the side of highway 2. Sites are pretty tightly packed, the one we were in was tight enough that we couldn't put our awning out. It was probably the worst of the bunch but many of the sites, especially those along the back line are tight side to side with little to no privacy screening. There is a rail line behind the campground but we didn't hear much from it. The highway is noisier than you would expect for the area due to logging trucks rolling through at all times of night. There are some trails out into the woods that you can walk as well as access to the river that runs just on the other side of the train tracks.Verizon signal was strong but quality was variable, overall I would say it was better than down the road at White Birches but still frustrating.
