We got super lucky to get a seasonal spot with a practical front yard facing the River. This isn’t common for every site but most all sites are on the River which is a gorgeous view. There are a lot of seasonal campers there so it feels like you’re staying in a small tight knit community. They provide bagels and muffins every Sunday free of charge which just adds to the charm. The owners, Mary and Gary are super friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

We proceeded to pull-through site 25 with FHUs with utilities situated on the site center. The pull through sites were the better spaced sites. There were back-in sites along the campground (CG) perimeter and right on Moose River but most of the river sites were very close together. They had wood and propane for sale. The cable service worked well. We received 2 bars each on AT&T and Verizon. CG WiFi worked very well, mainly because they only allow two devices on the network and give you two access codes at check in. Some people complained, however, we believe more CGs should have this type policy. The CG was well maintained. For the sewer, they have holding tanks versus a sewer system. The tank was 100 gallons and they empty on Mondays and Fridays. If it fills sooner, upon request they will pump it out. The CG website advertises as catering to adults and we like the fact there were not kid type amenities. The owner stated that he sometimes gets inquiries if this CG is nudist friendly (its not) due to “we cater to adults.” There was a small fenced dog area on the adjacent property owned by the campground. The laundry room was small, expensive, and the dryers had issues. We originally wanted to book from Mon - Sat, but was told we'd have to either leave Friday or stay through Sun. As we were meeting up with friends to start traveling together, we wanted to leave the same day as them. It's okay to leave on Sat if you are staying Sat - Sat. I called to arrive a day early at our next stop and then called back here to book from Mon - Fri. That's when the owner decided it was okay to leave on Sat, but it was too late as I had already reserved the next stop. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

The grounds are kept immaculate with large pull thru sites in the middle. Many of the sites around the camp ground are on the Moose river. They ave a large fire ring, and pavilion where they have pot lucks and entertainment (none-during covid). The campground does have laundry and bath houses near the office and front porch where campers and friends can enjoy a cup of coffee while visiting with others. (note: porch closed during covid). Pets are welcomed and they have a dog park to allow your dog off leash. This a great place to stay to visit both the Green and White mountains to explore all they have to offer.

The building where you check is like a comfy cabin with a long porch and plenty of seating. The owners are friendly and give you a wave whenever you drive by. There are rules, and they are pretty direct about sticking to them. Not a problem for us. The park is on the Moose river which, unfortunately, is brown due to its origin in Victory Bog. It makes some nice noise though! The majority of sites have good spacing. There are only a handful of 50 amp sites. I think the waterfront sites (except the prime site) are all 30 amp. The pull-thru sites share a pole so you are close on one side. The owners ask you to pull forward as far as possible so the RVs are more more staggered. Sites are gravel, grass, and dirt and fairly level. It’s quiet for the most part except for some highway noise (jake brakes notably) from Portland street. The downside is that connectivity can be a problem. The WII FI worked reasonably well and then, inexplicably, would stop working at all. Verizon was sometimes 4g 1-2bar and other times 3g depending on where you were standing. So our mobile service and hot spots were not very reliable. If you are a typically a feast for bugs, keep bug spray handy especially in the evening. They are voracious and will leave a mark! There is a cattle ranch nearby so some days there is a pretty powerful aroma. The park is centrally located but you have to drive 30-60 minutes to get to most attractions. Overall, a very nice campground and we would return.

Hills to drive up and down, but fantastic views and a very well kept road. The campsite isn’t very large. Right from the moment you check in the reception is friendly and informative. They give you a guide for a good day trip and lots of advice for local places to visit. Very dog friendly. The first time we walked the dogs we met some of the regulars by the reception and felt right at home.Very well kept, nice flower beds. Our pull-through is large and they have you park offset from your neighbor so it feels open. Saturday night we had group ice cream and talked to lots of people. Following soon behind the ice cream was a huge fire for the community. This place is a joy to stay at. We will definitely plan it for a longer stay in the future. ** UPDATE 6/19/2020 **Here we are 2 years later for that longer stay! It's fairly quiet because of Covid, perhaps 50% occupation. The big update for me is that T-Mobile has gone from zero to at least 2 bars, but as is often the case with T-Mobile the data rate is good at 17.6/1.53 mbps. Verizon is slower but usable, and AT&T isn't worth using but may work for calls (not tried). The campground WiFi is actually pretty good.Still beautifully maintained grounds, a nice river, and a relaxing vibe.

We were invited to a Saturday night free dinner of soup and sandwiches. The C/G is laid out by the river, spacious sites, asphalt pads and driveways, fire pit area for the group and a community meeting hall.Everything was clean and well maintained, grass growing and groomed, full services at each site, excellent wifi. The C/G setting is at the base of the mountain alongside the Moose River which babbles past the campsites. It's a bit pricey, but thats the east coast for you. It is right on the VT/NH border and worth every penny. Plenty of well kept seasonals and you can see why once you are here. Most are big and new fivers or class A's.We opted for a second night after the weather cleared for a day.

Keeping that in mind, my favorite part of this park was the old folks on the porch who greeted us. They were true old timers, one foot in the grave but the other still happily tapping along to the beat of life. They took one look at my Lady's dreadlocks, our beat up old hippie van, and our adorable (if cranky) then baby Winter...and we were in for life. I wasn't sure we'd ever get to our site, and the fact that it was right up against the river had me wondering if I would even want to. But, there were absolutely no mosquitos. I think back fondly on that babbling brook, on those smiling old men and women, and would gladly return here again were the situation to warrant a cavalcade of cheek pinching and overheard tales of how black and white television was just so much better.
