Our first trip, we had stayed in their rental RV and were very pleased with the whole experience. The site we had was a little difficult for me to back into as it was a 90 degree entry, but again, I'm new, but still managed it within 4-5 attempts to get the alinement that I was happy with. The site was pretty level and didn't require much adjustment. I had full hookups which were readily accessible and I had no problem with them. The site itself is gravel with a few trees between you and the other sites which were reasonably spaced out. I will comment that many of the trees were pines, which dripped sap on my truck. I used hand sanitizer to clean it off without any trouble however. There was a very nice fire ring at the back of our site as well as a picnic table. The campground itself has a very nice bath house as well as a small pond for the kids to fish in. There is a fenced dog walk and a large grassy field that your kids will enjoy as well as a nice outdoor pool. The pool was already closed for the season, but was in use when I was here before and looked clean and cared for. The camp host (Jerry) was outstanding and stopped by to check on us when we came in and from time to time when I was outside cooking or something. One of the things that so impressed me before and again this trip was the sense of community that exists there. The campground owners were also in town for the weekend, and stopped by to check in with us as well as the other campers. They were very anxious to make campers stay as pleasant as possible and asked about areas that they could improve. The only thing I could point out was that as I understand is common, there was little to no internet access. I had 2 bars on AT&T, but the campground wifi internet connection was poor.

The majority of the sites are very nice if a bit crowded together but that’s pretty standard for all private parks. If you’ve never been here before I would call and let them recommend a site for your rig. The bath house had three unisex combination toilet, sink and nice shower that would be perfect for families with kids. The water pressure was excellent but the park lost a star for voltage which at one point dropped to 103 volts and tripped my EMS - in October so not AC use. Most of the time voltage was 109-111. The campground host was outstanding! He was helping people park, delivering firewood, and constantly checking on us. Be aware that the driveway in is one lane wide for a couple hundred yards and looks steeper than it is. Have faith- even big rigs will do fine, just try not to meet anyone.

I was nervous as I had never been to this place and wasn’t quite sure what we were in for but when we got there our site was perfect for us, the bathrooms were clean and the campground was amazing. The owners were awesome and ensured all guests were safe and well taken care of during their stay. I felt safe at all times and knew our site would be well watched over while we were away on adventures. A nice touch was live music at the barn on Thursday nights. Although WiFi and cell reception for Verizon customers was pretty much non existent in the mountains, the time my girls and I were able to spend enjoying our summer vacation made up for the lack of connection with the outside world. I definitely recommend this place for families and anyone looking for a great place to tent camp.
