Had the best lot in the house, campsite 21. Beautiful deck just off the gravel pad that looked out over the property. Bath house was sparkling clean, and we enjoyed a fire in the large stone fireplace at the pavilion. Quiet, peaceful place to relax for the week! We had not stayed here previously so did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised to find a relatively small (30 sites), well-maintained and private campground. Since we were here for the eclipse event, the owners charged an additional amount per campsite that included several meals, happy hours, t-shirts and many other assorted extras. It was well worth the premium! All sites are full-hookup including wifi and cable. Some of the back-in sites require 4-wheel drive but once setup, are great sites. The campground is close to downtown Franklin and 30 minutes to the Highlands, NC resort area. Additionally, several festivals were in progress during our stay. Lots of options to explore the surrounding area, e.g., hiking and zip-lining or hanging out at the Lazy Hiker Brewing Company.Owners and hosts were very accommodating and friendly--we will definitely return!
